@@Actuallyjustconnor why? Without knowing the story, you can’t piece any of the scenes together. You have no idea where in time they fall, and the story itself has multiple paths… all it shows is how capable the game is, all it shows is that this chaos can happen not that it will.

Why? It's the correct way to play and eliminate the virus. Tho whole thing was just a virus, why would I let Conner become corrupted as well?

This just bleeds coolness and originality. I love how you played with the beat and used dialogue as almost lyrics to go along with the all the sounds you included from the game. It all just flowed brilliantly and looked/sounded bad ass. Those text effects that you added to match the look of the game were so cool too. Definitely makes me want to play this even more.

Deviancy is symbolysing faults and irrational thinking
while on the other hand A Machine represents professionality therefore it is badass
While playing, Connor’s Machine Movement is what made me love this game. I was on the demo, and the way game gives you the option of “Intimidate” and “EXECUTE”… I clicked Execute and the way Connor instantly snapped the gun forward and shot the guy in the head. They made his machine movement, aggressive and snappy without hesitation. It’s the little details like that which makes this game so great, remarkably the same applies to this video.
Attention to detail, Sound Design, Scene Selection, Transitions, Custom GameStyle Text and Movement Focused Editing… gosh, this is just as much a masterpiece as the game itself
Better put this on rewind :p cause ima listen to it the next 12 days.

I always appreciated how with very little exception Connor doesn't change drastically interms of how he communicates or appears. However his actions end up defining how he is perceived so all options seem plausible and shape him as such. This edit was quite beautiful in showing that.

*Wow. I honestly never thought that focus on movements can be THAT effective.* Character animation ends with one film fragment and then keeps going with the following one. My mind is telling me that those are all separate scenes, but at the same time I'm somehow able to track the motion sequence, as if it is a single continuous thing filmed in one shot. Like those Hank and Connor turns which form the spinning at 0:44. What a trick!
Damn, it's very good. Like, surprisingly good... Jesus Christ, Anja, that's just awesome!
And of course, audio. Short phrases tell a story, from introduction to a farewell, rhythm brings tempo to a visual storytelling and background sounds are like finishing touch: they tie it all together. Especially I like that moment at 0:15. Connor walking and the sound of footsteps at first is not synchronized, but then visuals and audio meet with his final step. Boom. Idk, it's so subtle and yet so extremely atmospheric.
Mind-blowing work. Seriously. Bellissimo 👌

It's sth i worked very hard on to achieve, that's why it took me around 2 months to complete this and upload with a satisfying feeling. @@hiro_444 Yea, that one is cool too! The whole GMV is outstanding and full of these little tricks.
From obvious ones like 0:36 (Taking the gun, kicking in the knee, right hook, left hook, sliding to pick up the gun again) to more subtle ones like 1:12 (Connor starts to spin, then revolver's drum continue the movement idea and after that Connor finishes the spinning animation in the Cyberlife tower). And all this hard work flies by in a matter of seconds!
I'll never get tired of rewatching. There's just something about this video that is really hypnotizing.
Dudee this is probably the best GMV I have ever seen. The music,the editing,all is perfect. It's like a movie trailer which I would pay a heck ton of money to see it. Machine Connor is just so badass,the mission always comes first for him. He is like John Wick in fighting style and determenation,which is totally awesome. Wow. Just wow! I feel like I comment that so often on your vids but that's only because you just leave me speechless every single time you upload something. I can't even begin to understand how you always manage to capture the depth of a character so well and how you can convey their journey through all those perfectly placed parallels that build up to this big explosion of emotions and struggles that ultimately lead to the end of the character's journey. Jesus Christ, this is one of the best edits I've seen. Not just of Detroit, but in general.
I was really into this song at first, then I realized it had a fart noise like every five seconds starting like thirty seconds in. It kept lining up with people getting unalived and it added a darkly hilarious layer to the video. I love it, lol.

Some of the motion edits in this are legitimately incredible, like I saw the 1:18 transition between vaulting toward Simon and vaulting over the car and immediately had to replay it like 4 more times it was so smooth... holy shit my dude

So i have not a nary what this videogame is but i love ur shit, it's so well done and u can always see some of the story, feel enough of it and i think the work you make is beautiful and just dripping with intensity. I love it!

And yeah i feel like you don't always have to tell the whole story, just enough to keep you interested the video. And also give the viewers the opportunity to experience it themselves when watching, playing or whatever, if they want to. I like to make sure there's always at least a bit of context though, otherwise it seems too shallow and pointless to me. But that's ofc just my opinion ;)
