Paul's pranks are genius 🤣
Paul knows how to get shit done.
💯 agree 😂
“Here’s your chair so you can get ‘shit’ done.” 😂
This is singularly the most beautiful Land Cruiser I’ve ever seen. You must be over the moon.
Paul and team hit the ball out of the park with this build. Extremely impressed with the troopy's colour plus the plug and play setup of the whole build. Simplicity at its finest.
Paul has done an excellent job.
The guy really knows what he’s doing 👍👍👍👍👌
I can say this is by far the best troopy build i've ever seen with the simplicity and all.
I could listen to Paul read the Landcruiser owners manual all day long...
I can confirm that the design and build of Manjaro’s interior is second to none. It’s very well thought out and well built. Have done 7500km on corrugated roads since the install. Love it. Well worth the investment.
I discovered your channel in Covid. You took us along from Cape Town to Angola and I enjoyed the quest to find the origin of the Okavango river. We are going to enjoy some more trips with you on this "new" Landcruiser
The removable boxes are genius. Reflects the practicality of someone who's very experienced in overland
Love the color, the bullbar is exquisite, and the modular kit in the back is above and beyond what I expected. You and Paul keep outdoing yourselves.
Absolutely gorgeous , Andrew. Looking forward to seeing the build get finished and your first trip. Congratulations on the fantastic truck.
I'm an old bloke who has spent much of his working life banging around northern Australia in Toyotas. This build is fantastic. Congratulations to the builders, absolute legends. The thing that most people miss is keepng it simple and being able to pull your kit in and out. Not just for repairs but also for multitasking your Troopie whether it be piling in people or stuff for house renovations. I am full of Toyota love once again!
THAT COLOR COMBINATION IS PROBABLY THE BEST FOR A TROOPY! YES, IN DEED THE BEST TROOPY YOU'VE EVER BUILT.. THEY WAY IT PULLS WHEN ACCELERATING.. ENGINE SOUND, INTERIOR, EXTERIOR... THAT IS FIRST CLASS! PAUL AND SIMON (IF I REMEMBER HIM CORRECTLY) DID A FANTASTIC JOB!
The prank was excellent, to funny.
But the thing stealing the show is the modular removable setup! That’s excellent. I love that it doesn’t restrict the use of the vehicle for other purposes. It can be a camper 4 weeks a year but can be a van for the rest. That’s brilliant.
This is more than next level !
What an great idea that Plug an Play system build is.
Fantastic job, fantastic teamwork 💯🤝 huge respect !
Paul & team did an amazing job and came up with fantastic solutions like the modular interior, crafted with great skill and experience. However, I find building up a car yourself is part of the fun and ensures every detail is based on your own decisions and skill level. This means you go through a learning cycle of constantly improving what does not work good enough en appreciate the things which work good enough. This is part of the essence of overlanding for me. I am looking forward to the adventures you will undertake in Africa. Much appreciated !
wow, wow, wow - Paul and crew smacked that right out the park - colour is sweet, and I love the modular concept, that rocks - really impressive build, so much attention to detail - and, it sounds damn good too - congratulations
i liked the 'joke' version with the desk and crapper
Paul; You have done a great job managing this project, everything from the colour choice of the troopy to the modular install has been beautifully done. Nice clean lines throughout, it doesn't look cluttered which is great.
Andrew; You are one lucky man to have such a team at your disposal for the build. I can see you are really happy with it so far. Your builds just keep on getting better, this one being the best by far. It will be interesting to see how you kit it out.
Andrew, this is absolutely gorgeous . @Paul, excellent work. More than the work I really admire the way you explain things. Really calm and to the point.
Love the modularity! It’s genius. Incredibly practical to have a nice flat area for utility but also a full buildout as well. Best of both worlds.
I like the color and the simplicity! I for one are sorta over all the 200-350k builds so many on RUclips are doing.
I love Paul's philosophy and always have enjoyed him on the channel, I also loved the 105 build and was sad to see it go.
But good work to everyone, looks and sounds good so far.🤘
love the modular fit-out; really really good, a design that will be copied, no doubt! Thank you.
Certainly the most beautiful troopy so far. It combines sobriety and practicity to a level rarely reached without mentioning the wise choice of this superb color that recalls the elegance of a bygone era. Congratulations to the entire team responsible for this magnificent project and a special mention to Paul in this achievement. It is good to know you are back in Africa and I look forward to your future adventures aboard this beauty. Lionel
I love the bolt-in/out modular setup. I’ve often thought this approach would be good rather than attaching a 2000 piece overlanding kit into a vehicle one piece at a time. Fantastic.
I used to live near Tableview beach and just loved seeing the landmarks as Andrew drove past.
Your troopy is superb! Bravo Andrew👏👏👏
This makes me very excited! My personal dilemma is, do I want the bush plane first or the cruiser. I have the same idea to visit Southern Africa once a year, from Canada and keep my bush plane and cruiser over there…somehow
You are going to have a ball!!!
Absolutely Brilliant!!!!
I'm speechless at how simple this whole concept is, adaptability and functional ❤❤❤
Finally, an understanding that today ‘assets’ i.e. vehicles are dammed expensive. One simply can’t afford to have lots of vehicles, used for multiple purposes, sat on the drive.
Here is the solution. A modular fit so that one changes the interior to fit the need. A camping car. A kid carrier, A rubbish hauler...changed on the inside, instead of changing the vehicle.
Would be nice if manufacturers figured that out and offered custom options for intended purpose. Not everyone carries people on the back seat..
Exactly how I use my 1hz troopy. For long family trips, I have 3 reclining captain's chairs for the kids that easily bolt off. With the chairs out I've carried tile and interior doors for a remodel recently, and off course its my camping vehicle for remote travel in Kenya. Can't beat the versatility.
Stunning colour - like the minimalist approach to the fit-out. EPIC😍
Loved the prank and your facial expression said it all. 😂 Congrats on a well build unit, Paul. Andrew, I know there's still a lot that want to do to the vehicle. It looks awesome.
Now THIS is the best troopie. Yes a roof conversion is nice, but the principles and execution of this vehicle is second to none. And yes, this is the best colour.
Gorgeous gorgeous troopy build best you’ve ever done! Color is absolutely stunning!!!!! Wow
Paul is the best. It looks amazing. That coffee station is gorgeous.
Miles of Smiles Andrew!
Schalk’s work is legendary!
Also love Mark’s Troopy in the background. He is shipping to South America now after doing his Africa trip
Absolutely marvellous and outstanding. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
Finally a simple, modular and lightweight Overlander.
I would have loved to see more of the inside, but of course Paul long monologues take up a lot of time in your videos.
Congrats to your Troopy… looking forward to see more videos
Awesome build, I look forward to more details than to build out and of course your Africa Adventures
South Africa products with Egon incorporated is a work of art.
Never seen you so emotional over a car, even more so than the Rangey in Oz. Well done to all, Special shout out to Paul 🥰
Great work Andrew, Paul and Team. Plug and play, modular, removable kit is the ultimate build. It appears all that has been done to all the troopies and trucks over the years has come together and perfected through this build as far as kitting the rear of the vehicle is concerned. I have my foolish thoughts / wish list on other aspects of building the ultimate overland vehicle but that is for another day.
Wow she looks amazing, what a fantastic job that Paul and his teams have managed to achieve for you. Looking forward to following your adventures with her in South Africa. 😎👍
Land Cruiser Toyota is built for last. Really good car to off-road. nice design
Paul is super smart. Enjoy ur adventures in Africa Andrew. I am a never miss follower of ur contents...u r doing an excellent 4×4 build work.
My goodness that’s a beautiful truck! So good! Congrats on the build! And Paul’s solutions are awesome! Very modular. I’ve been watching your content for a while and I absolutely love the content! Keep up the good work!
CONGRATULATIONS! Happy for you, Andrew! What a truly BEAUTIFUL vehicle and what an AMAZING setup Paul and his team have made up! Looking forward to the next video on equipping it further, and the others after that!
Wow. It looks incredible. And the colour is amazing. From such an old platform to create what you have. Truly inspiring. Safe travels. PS great to have you back in Southern Africa.
Thumbs-up to you and Paul for how its come up. interiors and the exterior 👍
Elegant is a understatement.
Waiting for the next.
Color's great!
I can easily live with this one ! The color is poor magic. Good show to all involved !!
WOW!! Love the colour and the modular set-up!!! Can't wait to see it in action!!
Looking forward to the next videos - please more details about the interior. BR
Awesome build guys, Lite but Right. Hats off to Paul and his crew. 👍👍
Congrats ! I think the modular system is a brilliant concept. The colour is absolutely beautiful. Welcome back in the good old RSA. Can't wait for your trip to Malawi etc !
My own van is currently being done following the same simple minimalist 'modular' approach. Makes sense to have individual modules that interconnect for ease of maintenance and replacement.
Really nice build from Paul and his teams. It helps to know what you want.
Classic indeed! Paul and the team are brilliant at what they do. Well done.
Very impressed with this bolt in/out built design.
Best troopy ever - no pop top is awesome for mine.
Go the 1HZ! crazy that Toyota are still making them and using them in the 70's over there
its built for NGOs. They insist on them because they are almost unbreakable.
Looks magnificent. Very envious.
Thank you, I have learned so much from your videos. Definitely interested in the modular approach to the interior components, the water and the electrical.
Paul's grin at 10:02 is priceless.
Very nice build. And also, as per usual, this series is a very valuable source of information and inspiration
What an awesome build!!
I like the modular design!
Not often you see Andrew at a loss for words - nice build 🎉
I agree. Very funny! The Cruiser looks fantastic. Well done!
Stunning what a great Cruiser for Africa. Congrats
I was laughing so hard with Paul’s prank! 😂😂
Congrats on the new (to you) vehicle! Build looks spectacular; can’t wait to see your travels in it.
Scruffy beard looking great 👍
Pls pass through kenya at some point and do a meet !
This is amazing. Can't wait for the videos of this one in use.
It looks beautiful, enjoy your trip. Looking forward to your first video with it
23:43 it is beautiful. And with 500k km, this car has stories to tell.
Happy driving and new adventures. ❤. Keep fit and healthy in life. Looking forward to the new overlander 4x4. Trip.
Looks great, the system in the back looks so well made a designed
That colour is beautiful, another good build Paul but like you say Andrew the engine is where you haven’t spent any attention. Hope it doesn’t come back to bite but I doubt it though. Many miles of smiles.
Build very well done, very professional, now to use and get to know how it all comes together, i love the color...
You and Paul are a very good team.
Looks fantastic! Seems to be a superbly well built car. Will be interesting to see how it performs and works for you. Safe trip.
Kind regards.
We did a 1VD conversion on our troopy here on Jhb.Very very clean conversion looks oem
Adrenalin rush makes these moments so intimidating.. and then even after getting your vehicle in hand people feel thats it is still a dream 😅
I missed this. Thank you Andrew. Cant wait for more
A dream unfolding in front of you eyes. Who needs a fancy house when you can have this?
Absolutely stunning. 🫶🏾
If only we could have these in the US. Gx470 is the closest thing. Great build
Very innovative design can’t wait to see the trips!
I look forward to your adventures in Colinder!
That's one happy man.
I think it's unanimous. That colour really suits the Troopy. 👍
Is this the best troopy you’ve ever had? Its simplicity is amazing.
Thing of beauty Andrew 🙏🏼
It’s close to perfection!
Fantastic high quality work, I just need a scaled down version of the bolt in boxes to fit a 76 series. In some respects, a troopy will remain set up as is, so the need to move the camping setup is useful but not essential. On a 76 series however, it often needs to be a daily drive with an occasional camping setup. Although in Australia, there was a company making a removable setup, however you basically need a forklift to get it in and out.
Paul, please have a think about a modular system for the 76!, great work!
I enjoyed this episode so much I had to watch it Twice, enjoy the Vehicle @4xoverland
Great looking car and and very smart design!
I’d love to see what kind of hoops / hurdles one needs to overcome to own and store a vehicle in South Africa. We’re currently looking into how we can get a 78 as US based travelers… but the leading options are buying a GCC 78 and importing it into a country like Panama… or buying something second hand in say… the UK and battling with keeping it registered / insured / inspected. Thanks and based on the comment section it looks like this build is a home run.
Love the modular design
Love it. Great job at Africa ❤❤❤ I’m next 😊
