    Sorry to point out another error, but you have also installed the mirrors incorrectly, the spacer should go the other way round and then re-use the original end cap. Easy to be an armchair mechanic :) Great video, I have a Classic on order so looking for some upgrade tips :)

      Oh shit, yeah you're right. Whoops, AGAIN another really stupid mistake on my part I'll leave it in and own my own F-up. Fixed that in like 10 seconds. I'll just blame my dyslexia even though it has nothing to do with anything LOL

I know i am dumb, but hey i'll own my mistakes all day long and boy did i make a really dumb minor couple this time around LOL. It happens to all of us.

    Luggage rack is what I put on my RE classic, same bronze&chrome version. Thanks for posting and ride safe.

  • @GeorgeConaway-w2b

    Hi Foxxy, I put the small RE luggage rack on my bike behind the pillion and it is definitely the way to go. Now, whenever I see a picture of the Classic 350 without it I think it just doesn't look right. I also bought a brown leather "toolbag" (it's a cylinder about 10 inches long, 4 inches in diameter) embossed with the Royal Enfield logo to mount on the rack. Dude, it's fucking perfect. I could not love it more. As long as you have just a bit of patience you can get these things from India for much less than you can a US supplier (if they even have the items). Try to find a seller that uses Fed-Ex rather than Aramex or Shiprocket; Fed-Ex takes about 5 days to get something to you from India versus 3-4 weeks for the others. Thank you for the video!!!!

  • @ChancellorBeeHaw
    @ChancellorBeeHaw 10 месяцев назад +1

    i thought the same with the pillion back rest but dont worry, its extremely useful in ways you mightn’t even consider.
    I was going to get the luggage rack (like yourself) but decided to use the stock pillion to carry my dufflebag( with panniers either side). I strapped the large duffle bag down but it kept shifting backwards worryingly. Then I saw the pillion back rest and thought i’d give it a go, and what do ya know it works great :)
    No feedback from any passengers as of yet, but I’m sure my duffle bag has nothing but praise.

      @@ChancellorBeeHaw oh it certainly is lol. So what did you wrap the straps around the pillion and the mount?

    • @ChancellorBeeHaw
      @ChancellorBeeHaw 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@FoxParasyte I had the duffle secured with some straps that were quite trickily wrapped underneath the pillion seat (i took off the seat and put the straps there then re fitted the seat to the whole bracket). The duffle then rested against the pillion seat rest, with a simple elastic cord looping around the pillion rest and through a strap on the duffle bag. Theres more to it seeing as i have panniers, so im able to loop straps through more things.

    No shame in installing something wrong! I recently had to assemble a workstation for myself that didn’t come with instructions. Thankfully it was pretty simple, but there were still a few instances of backtracking when things didn’t look right! The bike looks great. Look forward to seeing more!

      I guess it doesn't help the instructions i got i couldn't even read. They were so faded. No excuse really since i knew better I've seen them installed on bikes before. I'm just ditzy when i don't get enough sleep lol

    I’ve invested in a set of circlip pliers for when I come to remove the rear pegs after I’ve replaced the pillion seat with the chrome rack I’ve had sitting in its box for about a month now. They only cost only pennies from Am*z*n and it’ll be a long, long time before I’m likely to need them again. However, come that fateful day, when junior says “Dad, look at this. How do I get this clippy thing off?”, I’ll be there!

    SIR, you are right the bar end mirrors are too expensive , here in India it costs around 6k Rs , while I was buying my 350 classic in marsh grey I was in dilemma whether to buy the bar end mirror ( which looks awesome ) or leg guard , sump guard and back rest which together costed 9k. At last I have to make the logical choice of not buying the mirror for now. But in near future I will be getting one soon if there is a clearance sale 😅😅. By the way great video.

    In India we get those bar ends with the adapters in under 35$ idk why there is such a mark up abroad ( probably they make them here and ship them but for a huge MNC like this it shouldn't affect it that much .

  • @1kzrider

    I like the seat and back rest look. But, as someone who rides with passengers. The backrest being higher is better of course. Would be cool to have a quick disconnect like HD's have and you could swap to taller when needed. As far as the heel toe I have one on my HD electriglide tour bike and it is awesome. But, I have seen them on mini moto stuff and they are terrible like CT 125 Honda Trail. I like the bike you have glad you enjoy it. That root beer type color is becoming popular again. I saw it on a Kymco Spade 150 yrs back and I wanted that bike so bad but, was unable to buy back then.

    Personally i dont like the touring seat whenever i ride my bike i always ends up sliding my self back and adjusting my self what i will be upgrading in future is the low rider seat offered by royal enfield becuase it has sort of bucket shape and hopefully that will keep my bottoms not sliding.

      I'm fine with the pillion seats on the classic. I wish I could go solo but the fiance insisted on a 2 seater. When she gets her endorsement that damn thing is coming off though. That i promise you 🤣

    • @jez6208
      @jez6208 10 месяцев назад +1

      @FoxParasyte Ha! Thought you might. I'm lucky, my lady hates riding pillion (so do I) so I had it removed by the dealership. Mine is a classic Signals, Desert Sand. Looks brilliant! Everywhere I go, I get pics taken of it. Christ! I wish I was as good looking as my bike. 😄
      We've chatted before actually. Discussed crap Chinese bikes. You mentioned the Cleveland outfit. I looked em up. Same set up that made my buying experience so shit when I bought my 125cc from MUTT. Total bag of shit! 😄 Still, as soon as i passed my test, drove down to the dealer and bought my classic. They saved it for me. The signals style are fairly rare here in the UK. Mind you, to be fair, I haven't seen many classics at all. Royal Enfield's worldwide sales are bloody amazing! Mostly domestic Indian buyer I suspect. Still, i love my bike. Tell yer what though, the new Shotgun 650 looks pretty sexy mate. 😉

      OHH YES YES, Sorry i have such bad memory issues from all the surgeries and meds i nearly completely forgot that conversation.
      Yes the signals ones are amazing and super rare here as well. I would love just to have one myself ontop of my current classic 350.
      So funny thing about that Cleveland company. I tried reaching out to them a few times on email, Facebook, and phone and they never once responded back to anything.
      Honestly i wanted to give them a fair shake. Maybe they aren't as bad as everyone says, hell if i know i just hear a lot of stories about them.
      I'm still up to hearing them out and looking at their bikes but only if i can be as honest as possible.
