    FYI- head lists the balance for these in inches (not points). A point is 1/8 inch. The Boom Pro is 1” head light = 8 points. The only racquets that are 1 point HL are for beginners or the Rafa Origin.

      Okay yes…. Rookie mistake on my end…. I figured that out after I posted.
      However… I do think quality control was off because it did feel very balanced.

      @@MPTennis no worries. It’s very unusual for Head to list the balance point in inches.

    I’m an advanced former division 1 player playing with the MP and I like it a lot. Although admittedly I am older now. But I still had to add about 6 grams to the frame and now it’s super stable.

      @janvecek3855 Awesome! I saw TennComm’s video and although I’m curious about it I have not tried the customization that involves adding weight to the grip and throat. I did more recently however and 1 gram at the 12 o’clock position. Just not sure if it made any difference. 😂

    I am a 4.0 ntrp or 5.5 UTR and just as Cade predicted, I do really enjoy the Boom MP. I'm currently trying out different string setups to rein in some of it's wildness... Restring zero/sync hybrid has been the most successful so far. Wasabi/caviar not so much. Gonna try sync in the mains and zero in the crosses next

      whats your BOOM MP customization? and did you find your string of choice? :)))

    • @Virtua_Tennis
      @Virtua_Tennis 3 месяца назад +1

      @janvecek3855 I tried adding different weight in the hoop, but ultimately none of that worked for me. In the end, what works best for me is simply an overgrip and enough tungsten weight in the buttcap to get the strung weight up to 330. And stringwise, after trying multiple different setups, nothing came even close to zero/sync hybrid. Really enjoy the racket, but it still falls behind my main stick the Shift 99 and also the Aero 98

    You play really well, but I wish you use your left hand to stabilize racquet more… you would hit a lot cleaner - I noticed that when you were showing your ground strokes from the side view.

    The stringbed on these racquets is somehow not consistent, thats why he was occasionally having bad misses. Its like there are hotspots innthe stringbed and if you hit a bit off center skmetjmes the ball will fly even though younuse your regular stroke. It doesn't give you that reliable feeling and even though these racqurts have potential they aren't there yet for reliable tournament play

      " It doesn't give you that reliable feeling" They do if you string them right.

    Very strange, maybe quality control on the boom pro you got was off. I have three 2024 boom pro which are all very close to stock and they are all very head light, close to the TW spec of 7pts head light.

    I have been a fan of the Boom Pro and was my raquet of choice until I hit with Gravity Pro. Now I split time between the 2 but I just demoed the Gravity MP XL and all I can say is WOW! It may be a game changer and if you can get your hands on one to review it would be great. I want you - you may fall in love.

      Hi @bigdaddy812 - are you still using the Gravity MP XL? I have a Gravity MP and Boom MP and prefer the Boom with 12 grams added, 6 in the hoop and 6 in the handle. I also have a Blackout XTD28 which is amazing but a little less agile in games. Fun for just hitting from the baseline. Have you tried any other 27.5 or is the gravity MP XL the first one you’ve tried?

      @@bmxracing7919 the MP XL is the first extended raquet I ever tried. I instantly loved it as it felt I could more naturally hit the sweet spot so hitting with it is fun. I just added to my bag and been alternating with the pro , blade 98 and Boom Pro. I love them all!
