FYI- head lists the balance for these in inches (not points). A point is 1/8 inch. The Boom Pro is 1” head light = 8 points. The only racquets that are 1 point HL are for beginners or the Rafa Origin.

Okay yes…. Rookie mistake on my end…. I figured that out after I posted.
However… I do think quality control was off because it did feel very balanced.

@@MPTennis no worries. It’s very unusual for Head to list the balance point in inches.

I am a 4.0 ntrp or 5.5 UTR and just as Cade predicted, I do really enjoy the Boom MP. I'm currently trying out different string setups to rein in some of it's wildness... Restring zero/sync hybrid has been the most successful so far. Wasabi/caviar not so much. Gonna try sync in the mains and zero in the crosses next

I had both the MP and the PRO and I agree with your analyzation. I gave the MP to a junior player!

I’m an advanced former division 1 player playing with the MP and I like it a lot. Although admittedly I am older now. But I still had to add about 6 grams to the frame and now it’s super stable.

Great review Cade! I think the new Boom Pro looks very cool with the Super Toro in it!

The stringbed on these racquets is somehow not consistent, thats why he was occasionally having bad misses. Its like there are hotspots innthe stringbed and if you hit a bit off center skmetjmes the ball will fly even though younuse your regular stroke. It doesn't give you that reliable feeling and even though these racqurts have potential they aren't there yet for reliable tournament play

what do you think about american rubber band dampener? personally, i think rubber band is much better than typical dampeners. also how do you tie your rubber band?

Very strange, maybe quality control on the boom pro you got was off. I have three 2024 boom pro which are all very close to stock and they are all very head light, close to the TW spec of 7pts head light.

I have been a fan of the Boom Pro and was my raquet of choice until I hit with Gravity Pro. Now I split time between the 2 but I just demoed the Gravity MP XL and all I can say is WOW! It may be a game changer and if you can get your hands on one to review it would be great. I want you - you may fall in love.

Hi @bigdaddy812 - are you still using the Gravity MP XL? I have a Gravity MP and Boom MP and prefer the Boom with 12 grams added, 6 in the hoop and 6 in the handle. I also have a Blackout XTD28 which is amazing but a little less agile in games. Fun for just hitting from the baseline. Have you tried any other 27.5 or is the gravity MP XL the first one you’ve tried?

@@bmxracing7919 the MP XL is the first extended raquet I ever tried. I instantly loved it as it felt I could more naturally hit the sweet spot so hitting with it is fun. I just added to my bag and been alternating with the pro , blade 98 and Boom Pro. I love them all!
