    *Survive*
    the first time i heard *Survive* was watching their 2017 TEDx video... they played 3 songs there and spoke to the audience between each song... *Survive* was their closer and that jam session at the end was a wildfire to watch... actually, you should watch both of their TEDx sessions, 2016 and 2017, if you haven't seen them yet... each one is maybe 30 minutes long with 3 songs and DPA/TW speaking between the songs... what they talk about is enlightening and very informative...
    *Survive* is off their 2017 album "XXI Century Blood"... it is obviously about a relationship going/gone bad... some think of a personal love relationship but it could be about any relationship... especially a relationship where partyA is telling partyB that partyB won't make it without partyA in their lives... to me, this sounds very much like it was inspired from the failed negotiations with those labels "that wanted to change them for the wrong reasons"... i can see those label people trying to get them to sign by trying to scare them with words like that...
    the album's title song has a OMV that really tells a story... it, too, is a must see if you haven't seen it yet... it was nominated for a few awards and won several of them 😹

    I just saw them last night in Boston, my first time, hell, my first concert in 17 years. They were amazing! They more than lived up to all the hype, meeting and exceeding all my hopes and dreams for what the show would be like. They are machines on stage, even with a couple of guitar glitches, they laugh it off and deliver with full force. They played 10 songs off KMF, 6 from Error and Narcisista. These ladies are the real deal!
    *The glitches were: When they started playing Money, Dany's guitar wasn't on, or wasn't turned up, I'm not sure, but they stopped, fixed it, laughed about it, and then restarted and nailed it.
    The second one was during Evolve, something was going on with her pedal board during the second verse, she kept looking down at it while singing and kept stepping on it with a look of "What the fuck is going on with this thing?", but she got it to work without stopping and finished the song perfectly.
    Simply put, they were absolutely incredible!!

    Pau is like a freight train with full steam. The energy to keep that up and sing. Dany clearly showing homage to U2's The Edge- how her riffs just take you soaring into the clouds. Ale is a goddess of thunder with that bass. Gives me goosebumps every time. My favorite is still the pure, raw power of this song performed during TED at the Univ. of Nevada. The sound for some reason is more solid to me. Great reaction channel- I just subscribed. Thanks for supporting The Warning. Still cannot fathom they weren't at least nominated for Best Rock Band and especially Best Latin Band. Latin music isn't all hip-hop.

    all of their stuff is stellar, interviews and vlogs included. Freeze The Fall are a new/young band some of us TWA have been supporting. They did a TW evolve and breathe cover and a cold front formed and i slid down the rabbit hole. Quinn 17yo guitar/vocals taught herself guitar at 11yo to TW's QOTMS album, Aria 15yo bass/vocals and Jonah 16yo drums. already signed with 604 Records a distribution only deal keeping full control, they learned from the best, The Warning, and are only going to get better as they learn things.
    be good to one another and ROCK ON !!

    "Survive" is one of their classics and a fan favorite, written for their first album when they were still kids. Others mentioned the 2017 TEDx talk at U of Nevada where it was their closer. Pau broke a drumstick while performing the song. In the video between timestamps 13:41 and 13:42, you can see a piece fly off to her right, landing on her Ozone cymbal. Then between timestamp 14:10 and 14:11 she hits the Ozone, launching the piece into the dark behind her. It's so much fun to watch.
    Also, note how energetic she is playing (smacking) that kit. She was breathless between songs, especially after the first one.

    • @MarkBtvd
      @MarkBtvd 3 месяца назад +4

      I saw her splinter one during "Survive" between timestamps 13:41 and 13:42 in that video. The piece flew to her right and landed on her Ozone cymbal (the one with the holes). Then between timestamp 14:10 and 14:11 she hits the Ozone, launching the piece into the dark behind her. It's so much fun to watch.😊 I'll have to watch the video again to find the second break.

    • @tehawfulestface1337
      @tehawfulestface1337 3 месяца назад +1

      @@MarkBtvd You are right. The broken piece landed on the cymbal. Pau discards the broken stick and picks up a replacement, switching the old one to her right hand. When that same broken piece flew off the cymbal it gave me the impression of a second drumstick breaking! The audience POV certainly would have thought that. LOL. Not missing a beat, not losing her cool and in heels! PAU!

    If you have seen the version that they played live at TedX you need to. It’s just as good and they were like six years younger. Ale was barely big enough to hold her base but she was still fire. You said it best when you said this is a “fun” song!

    Aww looked like you missed a couple of the best (minor) parts of the performance: 4:10 Dany and Ale doing their synchronized 'guitar dance moves', and 4:20 Pau and Ale doing the synchronized head-bop. (both of those happen again earlier in the song, but they are easiest to see at this timestamp. Really shows how much time they practiced together in the cave watching each other in the mirror.
    That outro will probably remain forever my favourite piece of Warning music, if "Let's fucking go" could be written in musical form.

    Pau has the female version of David Lee Roth's raspy voice. Fortunately, she's a nicer person... The version of this they did to close out 2017's University of Nevada TEDx Talk is the song that has captured so many new fans of The Warning. They were about 17, 15, and 12, then. This is more polished, but the whole TEDx show is incredible to watch. They were incredibly poised and professional.
