use a round brush, and heat protectant also you can use a diffuser for the back or even the front cuz it doesnt require you to have high speed unless youre doing the cap trick then just add a lightweight styling product do make sure you scrunch a ton though, it'll take a while to get used to ill explain what ill do though.
get hair dripping wet in shower
(i actually wait a ton because i got other stuff to do in the morning like skincare and getting dressed but if u dont do that just scrunch dry your hair a little bit)
apply sea salt spray then push your hair forwards and backwards and scrunch just to make sure it's even
let it set then put heat protectant in, same thing as w the sea salt spray
i use a wide tooth come to spread it evenly as well, and brush my hair to the front. you can also shake your head (i think)
use a blowdryer w a diffuser on medium heat low speed and a round brush to slightly flip up the front, then i just use my hands to scrunch, by sorta running all my fingers except thumb through it then scrunching once to get the middle bit then lower it and scrunch again so your forehead isn't shown.
then with the back constantly scrunch it and use the knobs on the diffuser attachment to add as much fluffiness as possible
leave a slight bit of moisture left
then use a lightweight styling product to hold it, grab like a dime size amount and properly emulsify it in your hands basically until you cant see it, or until it's even then scrunch that in and shape your hair to however you want it to look (i use the lightwork styling clay from slick gorilla)
this obviously does require the right hairtype (medium-low density (basically grab a strand and if you can't feel it after rubbing it around with your thumb and index finger, then it's right) and also has to be like 1a-2b anything else will become too dry)
for me the product doesn't wash out instantly the next day so i literally do it without the product, as it gets reactivated when i dry it again. i don't use shampoo either so yea. do make sure the product is fully washed out before you use more again though.
you just have to experiment though, i found this method worked for me, i've tried other stuff like cold air diffuser which ended up way too fluffy for me and took ages, and concentrator nozzle on medium heat but it had no wave to it and looked straight as fuck, i've also tried other products like texture powder, which got rid of the fluffiness and hairspray which also got rid of the fluffiness, however if i do find that the product i used wasn't enough, i sometimes do add a bit of texture powder to it afterwards).
Insane winds do fuck this up though so maybe a stronger hold is what i need.

Watch out when using heat and what not because this method can frizz and dry your hair and eventually damage it if your overdoing it
