  • @wilsonlee63

Great stuff man, I started out with the plank Burpee, after a few months I realized I unintentionally omitted the push up part but after doing the standard Burpee it was 5 reps less than before. Now I'm able to do just as many fast, but the more advance Burpees towards the end of your video would make me loose rhythm because it's more complicated so I have to remember more as simple ones are on auto.

The Crossfit "Bow and Snake" where you lean over at the waist, crash to the ground, and then use momentum to push up is just horrible. A true burpee is when you squat your hands to the ground, kick back and stop every so slightly to then do a full strict push-up, before jumping in and up as high as you can clapping over head like a jumping jack.

Lovin these jumping burpee's, week 8 doing 25 jumping jacks to prep with full deep breaths before 50 burpee's twice a week, 6.52 is my pb. Should I go for more in a row or grab some baaaahhbells? This first had my shoulder warm but that's passed, and this has begun to kill my calfs. In the beginning landing from a full jump was met with no resistance from my calfs. But know I'm landing softly. I see videos of 100 burpee's a day for 30 days.... ya this guys no where near close to being able to swing that. But trying for sure.

Learned a thing or 2, I like to consider myself quite advanced but gotta say I didn't think the long jump burpee was a thing. I started some variations myself for about a year now.
One of them is to transition to ratchet squats before I jump up, which kinda dulls the movement but gives you oblique focus.
The other is high knees but not a jump, just running in place as high knees as I can x10 , then jump, to push up burpees repeat.
Finally there is the Navy bodybuilder type, where I add mountain climbers to the scissor legs open close before I squat jump, totalling some 16 movements, 1Pu, 4Mclimb, 4Scissors, 1Pu then jump
