- Normaal is a Dutch rock group and is seen as the founder of the so called 'farm rock'. The group was founded in early 1973 by Bennie Jolink Buizen Beernd) and Jan Manschot (Brekken Jan Schampschot) and had a breakthrough in 1977 with the hit 'Oerend Hard'. Singing in the local dialect (the Achterhoeks) became the trademark of the group.
It reached no 2 in the Dutch Top 40 on 28 May 1977
