They are legends. They were the first to sing rock in dialect, and thus revigorated the culture of regions that the urban regions of the Netherlands considered to be just backward hicks. Many bands would follow their lead, and put their own provinces/regions in the spotlight.
What I find so pleasant, is that I read so many comments from English speaking people here, considering the fact that this Dutch dialect must be pretty inconcievable to them... Great!!
