That was a bug that did not happen too often before this patch.. Now it happens a LOT! I would say at least 2 times a match out of 10 matches.. ( About half of those matches it happened more often.. )
At 1:44 that guard should’ve hit him. Old knight pre nerfs guards would’ve hit him right there and when chase started, would’ve ran through the window. Instead post shadow nerfs to guard ai, they will take the longest route around windows/pallets and will not hit the target if the survivor literally bumps into them 🤦♂️. Old guards would even hit other survivors if they are with in swinging distance. Nerfing the guards killed the knight, doesn’t matter what changes/ buffs they do. Until they revert guards back to how there were on release, he’s always going to struggle.
I feel like now you're meant to snipe as knight. Trying to use his power in chase is a lot more difficult now that you get punished for approaching. If they made it not as clunky to place guards it would feel a lot better, to be honest why can't knight see survivors when placing paths? With how easy it is to avoid them now I think they should change it.
Okay, I didn't know the pallet thing, it's important to know as a killer player. But because "Any means necessary" is my favorite survivor perk, i run the knight hard counter perk every game already. It's hilarious: get chased by a guard, drop a pallet, wait until the guard disappears, reset the pallet. Love it.
Just got to the bit where you sarcastically said easier than ever for killer and i saw the patch that had buffs for doctor and nemesis and survivor perks and laughed at the fact that survivors said it was killer sided
Knight shouldnt even have been reworked he was fine as iss but noo ofc otz and his fanboys just had to yap and cry over his niche "Guard drop" mechanic
He's definitely not worse than release but he's still kinda mid. They need to fix the AI being windows and pallet baited, reduce the cooldowns a bit and revert the change where the guard hunt goes down if he's too close(very stupid change) at this state, knight is played by sniping someone else with the jailer(for the super long hunt timer) so they stay busy, and chase someone else with the butcher ready on hand to destroy pallets and possibly get a down, with that playstyle you have 2 people completely busy not doing gens, but even then, he's still ass because if theres no pallets then the butcher doesnt really do shit, you can still get looped for days on a good window lmao
He is 100% stronger now. You can zone, lock down AND have 2 extra guards on hand. You’re not supposed to chase the survivor who’s also being chased by the guard. Send a guard after one survivor and find the other, now you have two survivors being chased at 5 gens which means only two are working on gens at 70 seconds per gen. You can also just hit the survivor, send the guard after them, find a different one, rinse and repeat until you get them in a cycle of constantly being downed. True just doesn’t know how to play Knight effectively.

Had a guard just stop chasing mid-chase yesterday. He was just running in place into a wall. I'd rather they fix things like that.

You can't see survivors because if you could nobody would place them, they would be be used for info

You can only really do Roxbury hits on survivors with Jailer. The other two are never really going to happen
