  • God gave us emotions but He doesn’t want our emotions to drive the train of our lives. If God’s will for your life is driving the train, your emotions and thoughts will follow. But if your emotions are driving the train, what happens?
In this episode, Candace and Jennie talk about what it looks like to submit your will to Jesus with your day to day emotions, taking hold of your emotions, halting your thoughts from spiraling, and the power of speaking your emotions out loud to trusted community.
Emotions are a gift from God but what you choose to do with them is up to you. Will you allow your emotions to drive your train? Listen to this conversation to hear why submitting your emotions to God’s will is the better choice.

I'd like to comment on something you said about the mind + body connection. Recently I have had more emotions related to anxiety and feeling overwhelmed. I don't feel that it stems from anything that's happened recently.... so it may just be spiritual warfare.
During a more intense episode I found exercise a good way to disconnect from my thoughts and focus more on moving my body. A good way to ground myself. Since then I have been doing more regular movement/exercise. Win, win!

Ok, so Candace, when your best friend said she felt left out of your life, how did y’all handle that? What did you change to resolve what she was feeling? I’m truly curious because I can absolutely relate but we haven’t figured out how to remedy the situation.🤷‍♀️

    Yes, I ate the chocolate.
    Now what? What's next?
I shouldn't have eaten the chocolate.
    Because there are rules.
Because there are needs other than my temporary wants.
And I should never do so again when it is against the rules and the intent of the rules.
    I have limitations.
    I don't like my limitations, but it's a struggle I must subdue.
    You're right, mom.
    I should have obeyed you.
I must obey you more in the future.
So that I may be wise, unlike what I was when I ate the chocolate.
And wise unlike what I am now, when I'm not wanting to confess this.
I know now that I'm not always right.
And there are many things I'm not right about - there were other instances that I need to confess that are related to the chocolate. Like the time I moved the cheese to trick, befuddle, and amaze you.
I know I shouldn't have done that either. That was cruel. And I may have a deeper character problem in that area.
What shall I do and pay to make it right?
Man, this conversation is getting long. Woe is me. Which path to righteousness and restoration?
Why? Why, mom, why? Why must I do and perform and obey - and not eat the chocolate whenever I want, and trick the other members of my family rather than confess?
I could have avoided this entire shaming diatribe or interrogation - by holding myself aloof from the pitiful frailties of the other members of my family who did not get the chocolate that I ate! :) See? Me strong. It is better never to confess wrongdoing - because then one never has had a problem in the first place. All is fair if the one taking action says so... And whence cometh authority to command me otherwise? :) See how innocent and commanding I am, by refusing to confess in a contest of wills, authority, and historicity? Now, where should I go to church or should I set one up myself? 🤣
-brought to you by: The Petite Babylonian Beehive who never ate the cookie, I mean chocolate, I mean - what was it last week? I forget there's been so many - and I don't want to change my lifestyle. I'm fine being 3. or 2. Or whatever. Now leave me alone & gimme what I want whenever you're around. Maybe I should run for office in DC or Beijing.

Man idk what it is but this lady is starting to irritate me idk why I feel like she just loves hearing herself talk. I want to hear more from Candace, and not from her these feelings weren’t like this at first but the last couple videos it just seems like she is speaking to say the right thing and not actual facts and experience. I could be wrong but she’s giving me weird vibes.
