Can you use the tool to "remove" the bottom bracket ? if not have you made a tool for that purpose, stands to reason if we put a new one on, we will very likely have to remove it first right?
Hello and congratulations for the contents of the channel, really useful and interesting. What is the difference between the orange and the gray cap (apart from the color)?
What is the orange piece called and where did you find it? Also what's the size of the threaded piece and nuts? Overall is a great diy tool to have handy. Thx for sharing
+E. Sanchez Not sure what the orange piece is called but usually not sold seperately....standard tap connector. The threaded rod is 5/8... +nuts to fit.
Hi, really enjoyed the vid. Will make one for my BB86 pressfit. if I’m not mistaken I think the thread on the poly barb is 3/4” (20mm) not 1”. The female side of the tap fitting adapter is certainly 3/4 and the male thread side is 1”.
Hi oz can you tell me it's awesome I've manage to get most of the materiala from the hardware store but where did you get the bearing press cups? Did u buy it?
Did anyone else try finding and purchasing the grey tap piece and the black barb piece? I couldn't find either part at Home Depot. Anyone find them and have a link they can share?
I really appreciate your videos. Keep up the awesome work. Cheers from Fort Collins, CO
Bravo mate, superb as usual. Love your simple videos! Keep up the super work!
This is an awesome tool!
Also, kudos for using the file properly, not many know the skill anymore
If you’re going to do this please use a Loctite 609 to retain the BB30 bearing when mounting directly to the shell. DO NOT GREASE.
This I'll do, thank you for sharing..
Do you know the difference between the Loctite 609 vs the Loctite 641?
Yes,for details you can google it Ryan.
Great video and brilliant idea. Thanks for sharing.
Very smart! Congratulations!

+stouto11 Barbed connector. All descriptions of parts are at "Oz cycle" on Facebook...Albums....DIY5
Did anyone else try finding and purchasing the grey tap piece and the black barb piece? I couldn't find either part at Home Depot. Anyone find them and have a link they can share?
The closest that I could find online (but is 3/4"): a.co/d/jdTLWi1
What type of grease are you using?
I usually use white lithium grease, Brian. I know when things need cleaning and regreasing because the grease looses its whiteness with dirt.
