- Last weekend I put together a simple wheelie bin store so we could move our wheelie bins out of our overcrowded garden. We're really pleased with it, it was easy to make and has freed up some much needed space.

An average guy making a great project. Great job. Thanks for the idea!
Cheers fella 👍
Great job, love how u used the bins as stands. Job Anyone could do
Thanks. They say necessity is the mother of invention. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great job, only seen it because im thinking of doing it. Try a piece of chain or something connected to the bin lid handle and the underside of the roof. When you open the roof the bin will open. Make it easy to untie though for emptying.
Cheers, good idea 👍
That’s a really good storage compartment:) Hoping me and my dad can get to Mayfair next month.
Thanks, I might see you there... we're planning on going again too.
Hellyers great!
Good work mate.
Thanks 👍
Great job!
Cheers, thanks for watching!
If you could show a cupboard style wheelie bin storage pls!! X
Hi mate, great video.
Cheers Sam 👍
Why did you put a floor on this? That just creates something to get dirty, full of water and rot? Just put down a few paving stones as a floor? The tricky thing about creating a bin shelter is how to support the two front verticals at the bottom (without a floor). The commercial ones have a thin strip of metal connecting the front two feet and the bins roll out over this pretty easily. If you connect the front two feet (either with metal or a floor) you dont have to connect the top of the front verticals and so this makes access to the bin lids really easy, but you supported the bottom and top making it srong but also not as easy to use
I did quite a bit which I didn't show on camera. I have drilled holes on the floor so water runs through and out. I also put blocks under the whole unit to level it off on the uneven ground, hence the need for a floor. Thanks for watching.
really good job. Could you give the measurement's?
Thanks Stevie, I'm pleased with how its turned out. It is 72cm deep (You could go deeper than that, I kept it at that to avoid covering a drain) and 110cm wide. 110cm high at the back, 120cm high at the front.
You look like a straight alan carr
Thank you? Do you mean we both have black glasses... beyond that I can't really see it.
1 year is it still standing
Totally. It's been a massive help actually.
@@Hellyers show me
Show you? why? It just looks the same. The only difference is the top has muddy footprints on it from the neighbour's cat who likes sitting on it.
@@Hellyers cool gonna make 1
Shocking, who cut wood on top of a wheelie bin 🤦♂️
Anyone who doesn't have a fancy work bench I suppose 🤷♂️
@@Hellyers couple of bricks on the floor would have sufficed
Sure, if i'd had a couple of bricks handy, I didn't. But I did have a couple of wheelie bins 😂
