Totally agree no matter which technique you use to do the face…I’ve had so many that I’ve had to adjust due to the “angry” look created..but the more you do..the better you get at it 😊also stuffing to the right proportions is another issue…have to get that just right as well
The magic ring i think I always get it down but then when I go to do it for another part of a project my hands act like it doesn't know what its doing. And written patterns I learned to crochet w RUclips and the written patterns confuse me 😅.
My grandma makes those kinds of dolls and they are absolutely amazing. She can make two a day and they always turn out beautifully. She’s been doing it for 15 years and still despises doing the hair!
I just hate connecting all the pieces together! It can be so stressful when you’ve painstakingly crocheted each piece and have to start sewing! I crocheted a lion mane for an amigurumi- and that was sooooo intense.
@@tartaglia.sewing is one of the reasons I’m learning to crochet now 🙈 it’s so satisfying to see a project come together like that. It’s similar to cross stitch, which I’ve dabbled in before.
Couldn't agree more. I've done it a few times and every time I say "Never again" then proceed to do it 3 projects later and realizing how much I hate myself
As someone currently working on a granny square kimono commission someone put in for their Stagecoach outfit next year... Yeah. I'm halfway done with the actual squares after working on it for two weeks, sewing the ends in as I go... But I am DREADING the actual assembly. That's always the most frustrating part for me. Also, they want fringe. That's going to be... FUN. But hopefully I can use that to hide some of the final ends in. 😂
@𝚖𝚊𝚍𝚒☾ Yeah, I'm really looking forward to finishing it and seeing her reaction - I really think that with the fringe, a nice pair of jeans and cowboy boots should make it look super western, which is perfect for what she said she was looking for. It's actually my first PAID commission, so I really need to make sure she's happy with the end product 😭
@@laurelgreen5781 the thing about me is that if i make something for someone i give them the ones that i may have messed up on some stitches or left a couple ends out because im selfish 😂
I feel you pain , I’m going to sacrifice myself to make one for my daughter for Christmas 😂, but I do want to get used to because once other people see hers I know they’ll be asking me to make more so 😬
I honestly love intricate plushies but I hate sewing pieces together, im never confident enough that they're secure so I tend to focus on no sew or low sew projects
My classmate made mini dolls and instead of crocheting really tiny strands of hair she used single strands of yarn to crotchet into the head so they stick out and can be styled however you choose. She styles them however the person who buys one wants it to be and it's amazing.. I got one for me and one for my cousin and she started making much bigger dolls using the crocheted hair for the bigger ones. Sometimes she'd get 100% acrylic yarn and put it in so it can be brushed then styled like real hair. If the kid wanted the doll to have curls in the future just a hair curler on the lowest setting would curl it. Then you could also straighten it on the lowest setting with the 100% acrylic yarn hair so kids could have dolls with the same hairstyle as them at any time..
I hate bobble and puff stitches. The first project I did after learning to crochet was the taste of honey shawl by Bag-o-day and it took forever because of those yarn eating bobble stitches.
For some reason faces are the most annoy part to me. It used to be sewing on arms, legs, tails, hats whatever but if I go slow, put some music on and just chill it's actually mediative haha
I absolutely hate hair, sewing stuff together, but most of all I hate when my friends ask me for stuff for FREE when i have to spend money to buy supplies and I did it a couple of times and now they all just expect it from me!
I always try to have something attached to my main piece rather than adding it on as a separate smaller piece. it makes me feel secure that it won't fall off whilst in use lol ^_^ also just small stuff is hard on my hands.
Nope. Never had the patience to crochet. I do like to draw. Not overly detailed or realistic drawings of things because I don’t have the patience for that either. = w =
I FEEL YOU!! One time I attempted at cosplaying Hatsune Miku, but crocheting the entire outfit since I saw the idea from someone else. The outfit came out nice… BUT THE HAIR WAS A PAIN 😭I CROCHETED A BLUE PIGTAIL WIG
I hate crocheting the same thing over and over. The same shapes or pattern more than twice in a project makes me wanna scream. I can do blankets and stuff if I wanna zone out, but when I’m actively looking at a pattern, it’s so boring to do the same thing over and over and over.
For me it's the straight edges or projects 😅 no matter how hard I try, or what stitch I use, I just can't keep a straight edge. I keep trying though, lol
I hate crocheting very small pieces for amigurumi, like the arms or legs. 4 single crochet per round is soooo exhausting, because you barely have space for the hook to insert and you have to pay attention not to crochet it together by mistake...
I’ve seen ones of Ingo and Emmet on Etsy, though their hair is covered by hats, i can still imagine the process of crochet being somewhat fiddly at times though
For me, either granny square cardigan with different color rounds (I tried to make it and I got so bored of it I still haven’t finished it, it’s been months) Another thing is sewing all parts of a four legged animal amigurumi. I’m not very good at sewing but crocheting amigurumi is really fun!
Granny squares are really hard to crochet for me but it would be a life saver if you could make a easy tutorial for me and others that struggle with it too ❤
i hate chaining and then having to crochet into that first chain. so basically starting a project is often just ugh to me, but the rest is fine. i can weave in ends easily, i can slip stitch connect tons of granny squares but starting to crochet into a single chain ugh
Samee…for me hair is the worst part if i had to sew the hair one by one or do it as a wig and attach it!! OMG how bad is it but I started attaching the hair like you just made with a glue gun it’s easier and more sturdy than sewing it on the head!
Having to actually attach all the separate pieces I've crocheted so the amigurumi is complete for sure!
I used to hate that part so much when I first started Amigurumi but it’s grown on me!!
I have literally a crochet long cat next to me who I need to sew together since 2 weeks 😂
Interesting 🤔 that’s my favorite part 😂
@@lilyquite-a-lot3860 There is something wrong with you.. 😐
@@rokurosecake It happens all the time!
For me, faces and eyes are the worst part of crocheting because they make or break the project 😭
This is so true! I struggled with faces for a while when I first started!
The eyes are always the worst for me tbh. They're never centered correctly
Totally agree no matter which technique you use to do the face…I’ve had so many that I’ve had to adjust due to the “angry” look created..but the more you do..the better you get at it 😊also stuffing to the right proportions is another issue…have to get that just right as well

My grandma makes those kinds of dolls and they are absolutely amazing. She can make two a day and they always turn out beautifully. She’s been doing it for 15 years and still despises doing the hair!
Omg!!! Lol so glad I’m not the only one it is the worst 😂
When I do hair, I work around a thin wire so it can be styled. It's a pain in the butt, but it looks really nice.
I just hate connecting all the pieces together! It can be so stressful when you’ve painstakingly crocheted each piece and have to start sewing!
I crocheted a lion mane for an amigurumi- and that was sooooo intense.
Frr!!
yessss then sometimes the arms don’t line up or the head is a little tilted 😅
Sewing everything in 100% - ironically crocheting the hair has been my favorite part of crocheting my amigurumi
I’m the complete opposite! I started sewing wayy before crochet (I started when I was 7 and have continued since) so sewing is my favourite part.
Same! I really really like crocheting hair… but once I have to put everything together? I just hate it…
@@tartaglia.sewing is one of the reasons I’m learning to crochet now 🙈 it’s so satisfying to see a project come together like that. It’s similar to cross stitch, which I’ve dabbled in before.
this is so relatable i’m glad i’m not the only one😭 i did a unicorn and it took so long to finish her curls cuz i just didn’t want to deal with them
Unicorn curls!! The worst 🤣
I didn’t even try just seeing it make me stressed already 🥲
yesss ive made a giant one! did you use this pattern? Free Crochet Unicorn Pattern - Cuddly Stitches Craft
Couldn't agree more. I've done it a few times and every time I say "Never again" then proceed to do it 3 projects later and realizing how much I hate myself
Everyones saying they hate sewing pieces together but it might be my favourite part 😂
anything granny squares. theyre cute but sewing them together and hiding the ends is just😵
Omg this is why I’ve never even really made a granny square before 😭

You need to try a flat slip stitch join!! No needle, and if you do it right, very very few ends to weave in. Changed my life.

Fingers. You have to make ten of them.
Omg I’ve never made fingers besides MewTwo and he only had 3 on each hand! 🤣 I can imagine that’s rough!
Or just make none
I honestly love intricate plushies but I hate sewing pieces together, im never confident enough that they're secure so I tend to focus on no sew or low sew projects
as a beginner SO FAR i hate doing magic circles because idk but it can be stressful because i want it to be perfect!
The most pain staking thing i had to crochet was a huge base for my mumma octopus that took me a week and hours a day to just crochet the BASE
I always give my dolls a bun so i don’t have to do the hair lol.
I HATE switching yarn colors. I’m a beginner and it’s got to be the most hardest thing evertr
Mine is also the hair, and sewing everything together. I also struggle with embroidery the nose, eyes and mouth 😢😮
i crochet a doll for the first time ever and used no pattern and making the hair was honestly the most fun part cuz i learned so much from it 😭
My classmate made mini dolls and instead of crocheting really tiny strands of hair she used single strands of yarn to crotchet into the head so they stick out and can be styled however you choose. She styles them however the person who buys one wants it to be and it's amazing..

I agree crocheting hair is my biggest pain. I crocheted hair for a unicorn, and it was horrible

For some reason faces are the most annoy part to me. It used to be sewing on arms, legs, tails, hats whatever but if I go slow, put some music on and just chill it's actually mediative haha
I always get kinda nervous when it’s time to do the faces! So much pressure!
the most annoying thing I ever crocheted was a portrait of my dance teacher for her birthday, but it was definitely the most rewarding
crocheting anything that goes in circles. i always lose count eventhough i use markers 😵💫
I absolutely hate hair, sewing stuff together, but most of all I hate when my friends ask me for stuff for FREE when i have to spend money to buy supplies and I did it a couple of times and now they all just expect it from me!
I’m a beginner and just crocheting in general! 😂😂 I can never get the tension right!
Aaauuuuhhhh your sooo pretty❤❤
I absoloutly HATE crochetting like small arms legs etc.😭
Rosie the maid 😭 SO CUTEEE
Omg I’m always so tempted to try to make those. They’re literally adorable but it looks so difficult.
You should give it a try. You might be surprised and really enjoy it. It's pretty easy, just time consuming.
i hate crocheting magic circles, but i can’t make the things i want to make without it..
The hair is the worst for me too. Definitely feel your pain 😂❤
My grandmother crocheted baby dolls that wrapped up in their own blanket .
That’s adorable ❤
Yours looks a lot better than mine ✨
Omg! Connected tripple crochets! I hate having 5 or 6 loops on my hook!
I'm so glad that people can relate to this 😂
yes omg any type of crochet dolls are a nightmareee but they’re literally what sells best for me😭
I once did a coralina crochet doll, and it was pretty difficult at first, but once you get the hang of it or find the right strategy it's pretty easy
I will crochet anything but if I have to sew I will cry
I’ve crocheted a doll of my teacher for appreciation week and she was like rapunzel.
I've never even thought of the pain that would be...... Now i must try it.
Hexi Cardis Blankets and cords... I HATE ALL OF THOSE BUT THE Hexi cardigans are beautiful T_T
SAME! I tried crocheting Hermione’s hair just for practice, and it turned out okay, but I struggled the whole time 😢😊
I always try to have something attached to my main piece rather than adding it on as a separate smaller piece. it makes me feel secure that it won't fall off whilst in use lol ^_^ also just small stuff is hard on my hands.
I love your crochet tings❤️😁👍☺️💕
My passed great aunt made me one of these dolls with a purple dress it’s one of my most cherished things in my house
Those damn hairs, I hate making them, I hate assembling them into the head but the end product is just sooooo worth it
My grandma made me one when I was little before she died to Cancer😢❤
i want one of those dolls SO BAD
also my least favorite thing is prob counting stitches or weaving in ends if that counts
If not then circles
Nope. Never had the patience to crochet.
I do like to draw. Not overly detailed or realistic drawings of things because I don’t have the patience for that either.
= w =
Sometimes I don’t even have the patience and I think that’s why I hate crocheting dolls!! 🤣
The magic ring I just hate it!! But I still have to do that if I can crochet
Mine is those like star looking blankets. The amount of weird stitches you use is insane to me
Blankets, I will never crochet a blanket. Your work is beautiful!
Any clothing, I love how it all looks it just takes so long to make 😭 and, blankets, same issue 😭
I love these video, some of the best out there
We have the same love for Bokoblins and Gamechops zelda & chill, I’m definitely subbing🫶🏼🫶🏼
Anything that’s super repetitive, like if I have to make 10 of one piece for a project it’s always the worst part
Yesss! For me its picking up the left over front loops and then slip stichting aaaarrrrggg
For me it’s either sewing on a head because I always get it the tiniest bit crooked, or sewing eyes
For me it’s definitely hiding the ends when crocheting things like clothing, it’s so tedious and takes so long 😭
The dolls are my favorite lol
Omg!! I hate doing them but they’re soooo cute!!!
Literally anything that starts off with a chain, something about it is so difficult for me
Magic circle for sure
I FEEL YOU!! One time I attempted at cosplaying Hatsune Miku, but crocheting the entire outfit since I saw the idea from someone else. The outfit came out nice… BUT THE HAIR WAS A PAIN 😭I CROCHETED A BLUE PIGTAIL WIG
My bucket list is just to make a big fat warm blanket with just a hook and yarn❤❤
I hate crocheting the same thing over and over. The same shapes or pattern more than twice in a project makes me wanna scream. I can do blankets and stuff if I wanna zone out, but when I’m actively looking at a pattern, it’s so boring to do the same thing over and over and over.
I hate making gloves with or without fingertips
Mine is when the yarn gets stuck 😅
I hate having to make blankets with single crochet! Its so difficult and frustrating 😢
I also hate making hair, it takes so long😭😭😭
I would love it!! I love to do chains
Girl I feel you 😢😢😢😢😢😢 good luck 😢😢
Getting the safety eyes straight. I’ve got the damn accuracy of a blind turtle. I CAN NEVER GET THEM STRAAAIGHHTTTT
i hate making bees yet its my most popular order (locally only) because changing the colors repeatedly is so tiring
For me it's the straight edges or projects 😅 no matter how hard I try, or what stitch I use, I just can't keep a straight edge. I keep trying though, lol
Yup! I am working on gloves right now and the wrist piece is taking forever because of this. I feel your pain.
Ngl im fine with crocheting ITS JUST WHEN I HAVE TO SEW THE PEICES TOGETHER IT MAKES ME WANNA CRY especially when its a plushie

I’ve done 2 dolls and nearly gave myself RSI in the wrist/hand with one 😅 So worth it for the results but 100% relatable
Anything with a magic circle/ ring!
Oh I love crocheting but I dribble with Bubble stitches and sawing in the body parts and other details. Putting everything together is super tough😂
For me, either granny square cardigan with different color rounds (I tried to make it and I got so bored of it I still haven’t finished it, it’s been months)

tbh a magic circle, I watch tutorials, and the tutorials end before its supposed to and i end on the floor in tears. ;-;
Small plushies(like keychains) that have a bunch of lil parts to sew together
That's why I prefer blankets❤ I absolutely despise sewing things on😂
Granny squares are really hard to crochet for me but it would be a life saver if you could make a easy tutorial for me and others that struggle with it too ❤
Circles.
Just circles, it’s the base to most plushies, but I can’t do it
Last time I tried I ended up with an oval flower looking thing😂
It's funny you mention that I had to do the exact same thing last week, the hair to forever because my tension wasn't right
It is time consuming..but the results are the reward..but I hear ya 😊
Right mine too i stared one but god i am hating that hair !! I think i will try to work something different with the hair
Some how I always mess up magic rings

i have been avoiding doing anything that requires color changing/weaving in the ends.. sounds painful sobs
Yes!!! the hair is horrible to crochet AND SEW I mostly do micro crochet and it's soooooo hard :,)
Doing embroidery😭 sometimes I try to embroider stuff on the project and it’s so hard
I hate sewing pieces on but no-sew confuses me so I have to do it anyway
Jellyfish, quidz and octopus tentacles. Its super similar to hair. I especially hate the twisty swirly ones 😵🥴
