Totally agree no matter which technique you use to do the face…I’ve had so many that I’ve had to adjust due to the “angry” look created..but the more you do..the better you get at it 😊also stuffing to the right proportions is another issue…have to get that just right as well
The magic ring i think I always get it down but then when I go to do it for another part of a project my hands act like it doesn't know what its doing. And written patterns I learned to crochet w RUclips and the written patterns confuse me 😅.
As someone currently working on a granny square kimono commission someone put in for their Stagecoach outfit next year... Yeah. I'm halfway done with the actual squares after working on it for two weeks, sewing the ends in as I go... But I am DREADING the actual assembly. That's always the most frustrating part for me. Also, they want fringe. That's going to be... FUN. But hopefully I can use that to hide some of the final ends in. 😂
@@raindropfairy Yeah, I'm really looking forward to finishing it and seeing her reaction - I really think that with the fringe, a nice pair of jeans and cowboy boots should make it look super western, which is perfect for what she said she was looking for. It's actually my first PAID commission, so I really need to make sure she's happy with the end product 😭
@@tartaglia.sewing is one of the reasons I’m learning to crochet now 🙈 it’s so satisfying to see a project come together like that. It’s similar to cross stitch, which I’ve dabbled in before.
I just hate connecting all the pieces together! It can be so stressful when you’ve painstakingly crocheted each piece and have to start sewing! I crocheted a lion mane for an amigurumi- and that was sooooo intense.
My grandma makes those kinds of dolls and they are absolutely amazing. She can make two a day and they always turn out beautifully. She’s been doing it for 15 years and still despises doing the hair!
Couldn't agree more. I've done it a few times and every time I say "Never again" then proceed to do it 3 projects later and realizing how much I hate myself
For some reason faces are the most annoy part to me. It used to be sewing on arms, legs, tails, hats whatever but if I go slow, put some music on and just chill it's actually mediative haha
My classmate made mini dolls and instead of crocheting really tiny strands of hair she used single strands of yarn to crotchet into the head so they stick out and can be styled however you choose. She styles them however the person who buys one wants it to be and it's amazing.. I got one for me and one for my cousin and she started making much bigger dolls using the crocheted hair for the bigger ones. Sometimes she'd get 100% acrylic yarn and put it in so it can be brushed then styled like real hair. If the kid wanted the doll to have curls in the future just a hair curler on the lowest setting would curl it. Then you could also straighten it on the lowest setting with the 100% acrylic yarn hair so kids could have dolls with the same hairstyle as them at any time..
For me, (I have a small business) and I had this rich client ask for “realistic hands” on a doll, or else she would shop somewhere else, and she was offering TRIPLE the amount of money so I had to do it. And what she meant my “realistic hands” was 5 fingers per hand, which sounds easy but it took me three days of blood sweat and A WHOLE LOTTA TEARS to finish ONE HAND. Please send well wishes to my hands because I still need to do the other hand 😭😭😭
I honestly love intricate plushies but I hate sewing pieces together, im never confident enough that they're secure so I tend to focus on no sew or low sew projects
I feel you pain , I’m going to sacrifice myself to make one for my daughter for Christmas 😂, but I do want to get used to because once other people see hers I know they’ll be asking me to make more so 😬
Maybe u could do to crochet hair: First: crochet a thick string (with stuffing and do it x3) Second: braid it Now u have a crochet braid! Hope this helps!
I hate bobble and puff stitches. The first project I did after learning to crochet was the taste of honey shawl by Bag-o-day and it took forever because of those yarn eating bobble stitches.
Nope. Never had the patience to crochet. I do like to draw. Not overly detailed or realistic drawings of things because I don’t have the patience for that either. = w =
I absolutely hate hair, sewing stuff together, but most of all I hate when my friends ask me for stuff for FREE when i have to spend money to buy supplies and I did it a couple of times and now they all just expect it from me!
I hate crocheting the same thing over and over. The same shapes or pattern more than twice in a project makes me wanna scream. I can do blankets and stuff if I wanna zone out, but when I’m actively looking at a pattern, it’s so boring to do the same thing over and over and over.
I gotta love how everyone is like "oh i hate sewing everything together" This is why i usually dont sew, id rather mess with something for hours than sew
I always try to have something attached to my main piece rather than adding it on as a separate smaller piece. it makes me feel secure that it won't fall off whilst in use lol ^_^ also just small stuff is hard on my hands.
I hate crocheting very small pieces for amigurumi, like the arms or legs. 4 single crochet per round is soooo exhausting, because you barely have space for the hook to insert and you have to pay attention not to crochet it together by mistake...
Anything that takes more than a day. If i sleep and come back i have no motivation to keep going. Unless it's a freehand where i forgot what i was even making.
I made my brother a fedora from crochet. 0.5 needle 1mm thread and BILLIONS of rounds. I think I still have the blisters 2 years later. I just hate crocheting small.😢
Samee…for me hair is the worst part if i had to sew the hair one by one or do it as a wig and attach it!! OMG how bad is it but I started attaching the hair like you just made with a glue gun it’s easier and more sturdy than sewing it on the head!
Funny enough granny squares just because I lose the squares all the time because I just don’t keep track of things like that like I have a crocheted chair cover that is half way done and it’s never been finished because I keep losing the squares
I hate crocheting amigurumi the most sewing pieces, making sure they're placed right, decreasing/ increasing constantly, making sure I counted rounds right😭it's the worst. I just try to stick with clothes and blankets but whenever someone wants me to make them something it's always amigurumi
prob small details with small yarn, it’s so annoying putting your hook in the stitches 😭 and def sewing the project together, hate it especially with plush yarn like loops and threads because the fluff comes off 💀
attaching everything once it's done is awful for me. I SEE how it LOOKS easy. People TELL me its easy. but I have 3 wip dollies with presidential hair (not the long hair either LOL). just dollies in general. I want to make them SO bad. Namely the Cyndi Lauper & Miranda Priestley ones. Also... I will just flat out NOT do a project for fear of using the yarn and then finding something I want to make MORE, and then not having the yarn. and measuring crochet baby rompers that have no snappy-crotch. it sounds bad but I love to crochet so much, I sleep with a ball of yarn and a set of glow hooks on my bed table in case I NEED to crochet in the middle of the night. 🤣
I rlly don’t like trying to do stuffies with blanket yarn or something like that bc instead of laying flat it starts building up immediately and I’ll have a mental breakdown saying what am I doing wrong. Pls reply if you know a solution
atm amigurumi, even though i know how to make a majic circle, and i don’t think I’ll like sewing the parts together either !!! It’s Just not as fun as making bags 😅 It also takes me forever to make the first part so i haven’t crocheted a whole amigurumi head or body part yet ( I’m a beginner crocheter btw 😊)
For me it's the straight edges or projects 😅 no matter how hard I try, or what stitch I use, I just can't keep a straight edge. I keep trying though, lol
Having to actually attach all the separate pieces I've crocheted so the amigurumi is complete for sure!
I used to hate that part so much when I first started Amigurumi but it’s grown on me!!
I have literally a crochet long cat next to me who I need to sew together since 2 weeks 😂
Interesting 🤔 that’s my favorite part 😂

You need to try a flat slip stitch join!! No needle, and if you do it right, very very few ends to weave in. Changed my life.
Sewing everything in 100% - ironically crocheting the hair has been my favorite part of crocheting my amigurumi
I’m the complete opposite! I started sewing wayy before crochet (I started when I was 7 and have continued since) so sewing is my favourite part.
Same! I really really like crocheting hair… but once I have to put everything together? I just hate it…

Fingers. You have to make ten of them.
Omg I’ve never made fingers besides MewTwo and he only had 3 on each hand! 🤣 I can imagine that’s rough!
Or just make none
The most pain staking thing i had to crochet was a huge base for my mumma octopus that took me a week and hours a day to just crochet the BASE

the most annoying thing I ever crocheted was a portrait of my dance teacher for her birthday, but it was definitely the most rewarding

crocheting anything that goes in circles. i always lose count eventhough i use markers 😵💫
