The latest updated list of robot vacuums we recommend: www.consumeranalysis.com/guid...
In this video we review the iRobot Roomba i7 and i7+. The i7+ comes with a self-empty dust bin and a Clean Base (self empty station) while the i7 does not. Otherwise, the two robots are identical and so our review applies to both vacuums.
In the review we analyze the i7's carpet (general and deep cleaning), hard floor, edge, and hair (human and pet) pickup performance. We also discuss the robot's raw performance (CFM and suction), navigation and coverage, battery life, bin size, and noise output.

Perfect review, I have bad experience with i7. The chamber between the blades and the bin is narrowed, thats why some of the dirt is concentraiting arround this narrow path until it get stuck. The result is, that the robot needs to clean the chamber and blades while there is 10-20% in the bin. I had I-robot roomba 700 before and never experienced this issue. I have short hair dog, so no hairs are wraped on the blades, just the chamber is very bad designed. In the other hand the logic, system and application is fantastic.

I also noticed that it doesn't clean near the base :(
Even when I put cleaning zones there and tell it to clean around the base in the app.

Unfortunately, the Roombas all leave a wide berth around the base.

iRobot doesn't publish that particular specification. All we have is our test data - our airflow and suction readings.

Excellent review, thank you. Question? Can two i7 IRobots operate in a residence with only one Wi-Fi?

Are you also going to review the Dyson robot vacuum?

I may in the future, but right now I'm prioritizing models that are readily available in the United States.

What they forget to tell you anywhere is that the i7 maps have a limitation of 2000 sq ft and 16 rooms. You will need to split your house in multiple maps if your house is larger than that. The J series has a 1600 sq ft limit.
