Lol I bought one specifically to pick up dog hair in my apartment that's all hardwood and tile. It picks up more than my manual vacuum so no complaints here.

those are some weird tufts of fur.. my 692 (same model but from Amazon) has no or less of an issue with my cats fur... though it is generally not tufts or clumps but almost webbing style as it interlocks with itself and collects other particles.. so maybe w/e type of fur you were using is more on the boundaries compared to avg fur? I dunno.
