Grimlock's dino mode does have proper knees, it's just a separate joint that bends just above the robot mode's elbows. The joint is tabbed in pretty secure, though, and is tabbed in the packaging. Funnily enough, when I first opened the figure, I thought the dino knees were the robot elbows, and thought it was mistranformed out of the box.
You know what I would have appreciated instead of Wheelie? Plastic plugs for those screw holes on the t-rex face, flaps covering the forearm gaps, and a sword.
Baltmatrix: grimlock has been living on my basement for time now....... Grimlock: me grimlock mr matrix when is it the time grimlock is getting out? Baltmatrix: today
Wheelie is a great accessory. People complaining about his poseability must want a gun with articulation too. Lol Get over it. He’s excellent for display and for photography.
That particular hinge is also a source of problem since the ratcheting mechanism break on most people. The right side of my copy is just hanging off on its last bit of plastic before snapping completely.
Baltmatrix: I really would've liked just a little bit of light piping. Bobby skullface: [sounds of disbelieving panicked frustration] Solid review, thanks balt!
Everyone's complaining that this guy doesn't come with a sword, but he never had a sword in the G1 cartoon, or the 86 movie, and this is branded as part of the Studio Series line, which are supposed to be as accurate as possible to their movie counterparts. I would imagine that, if you want him to have a sword that badly, there are options to allow that
Studio Series Gnaw/Sharkticon comes with his gun because his original toy came with a gun. Sharkticons never used guns in the movie. So if the Sharkticon can have his gun, the Dinobots should have their swords.
Well I am for sure getting both Grim and Slag. I missed out on the Potp dinos and only got Slag and Swoop, so this time I'm getting as many of them as I can
You missed transformed the legs there's a tiny tab inside the arm that secures the hinge on the back in place for robot mode your suposed to move it forward for the Dino mode

his arms have two joints one for robot mode for his elbows and another set for his knees in dino mode. each join locks in place for the mode you want. dino mode unlocks up by the hip and the other one unlocks at the robot mode elbow. good review =)

with Slug, it helps to consider that he might not sell well in the UK under his original name as the name "Sl*g" is a naughty word over there (you're welcome people over the pond for censoring the name so I don't swear in British English)
My favourite scene from G1 cartoon has Meg's shooting his cannon right into Grimlocks chest, and it it just bouncing right off...

I just bought Grimlock on an impulse and, you know what, I think he's my new favorite.
And yes, there already are third party upgrade hands on eBay.
Absolutely love this figure. I have no regrets getting this guy. Really wish it came with a sword though
Gorgeous figure. He's right up there with Kingdom Cyclonus.
Kingdom cyclonus engineering and transformation is just black magic.
@@Dualbladedscorpion7737 Agreed.
@@Dualbladedscorpion7737 except THAT gap...
It would have been nice if they would replace Whellie and provide us with Grimlock's sword instead!
Putting all that Studio Series money into actual transformers designs and not jagged live action ones? I'll ALWAYS love that!
I Like that all his complaints have fixes now via 3P upgrades😂

My favorite transformer is here to take his place as king!
The legs move back, as there's a separate hinge you untab for dino mode

Great figure but I ordered the nonnef upgrade kit for the sword, front teeth, and arm gap fillers
The Nonnef upgrade is amazing. Really solved most issues with him. I can't recommend it enough.

shoulder mounted wheelie sniping action!
Finally got one
Hey, Balt, if you can. Could you do like a blooper montage of all of your reviews of this year at the end of this year?
I bought the shockwave labs sword from ebay

I Hope we get a Deluxe Class G1 Wheelie.
Me king Grimlock look amazing
I seriously thought you had reviewed this already.
You do know that the knees in dino mode can move forward right?

Wheelie and Grimlock are close friends
He can bend at the knee in dino mode. There is two different joints. You need to push harder
Gromlock!
3:02. THE DINO LEGS DO BEND AT THE KNEE. i found that out after a week of owning it.
It took me a week to figure out his dinosaur neck can swivel.
@@Mikeinator_ nice try.
They could make a core class to replace wheelie, but I doubt many people would want it
It's like cheaper version of masterpiece. I guest just wait for premium finish version.
Just picked up this and the new Huffer today. Haven't even transformed them yet. I hate the wheelie. At least let the knees bend
Does ANYONE even want the Dinobots to come with nontransforming partially articulated cheap sidekick figures? Anyone?
No
No. I prefer a sword. I don't care if it's not in the 86 movie. I still prefer the sword
What do you expect from Hasbro? The company that gave us Fangry, Squeezeplay & Horri-bull without bodies. Just their heads in Titans Return.
do they have any other colors of the dinosaur?
What kind of work you doing in the basement????
What about you use the titans return wily in grimlock
Fantastic figure! Totally would get it if the price is right!!👍😎👍
Rather have the metallic visor over light piping
I hate that I would have a wheelie figure that can’t even transform, at least move properly
Just get the Titans Return/Takara Legends version.
@@n7bansheebait299 my issue is I have to waste more money on a piece of plastic that only works for one use and it’s not impressive

I got a 3D printed sword on EBAY! forgot the person's name, but he isn't selling any anymore I don't think.
just waiting on my resin printer.
Would've bought this if they trashed Wheelie and included a sword
Really Needs a Sword but otherwise an A- for me.
