Hey my friend can you help me out im trying to build my system i got a 2002 silverado extend cab . i want 2 speakers and 3 twters on each side but i don't knw if i should go 2. 8s on each side or 1. 8 and one 6.5
I would two 8s one being midbass and the other being midrange to cover a wider frequency range. And with 8's have more cone area and usually bigger voice coils and handle higher watts better then then 6.5's. So in the end the two 8's should be louder.

Nice sound loud and very clear. If you dont me asking how much has this set up cost you? Ive put in my yukon so far $1900 in sound and my sound system sounds nothing like this althought i am not done. I put in a pioneer head unit for about $600 bought a 1 12" JL sub for $650 powered by an jl amp which was about $450 and changed one pair of door speakers to some rockford for about $200 which i think i got ripped off for. Ultimately to get the loud and clear sound im looking to switch out all the doors speakers (4 mids) and tweeters ( 4 Tweeters) and power everything with a amp. Do you know any website where I can find good brand speakers for a good price? Could you recommend me some mids and tweeter and a amp to power them - my budget on that is probably $1500.
soundigital amps with give you the best quality. beyma speakers have always the brand untouched but they can be pricey. the beyma 8mi or 10mi inch are the ones you want. i run the neo 8mnd's. crescendo pwx speakers sound great at high volume as well. and low budget great sounding speakers are the skar mid ranges. as for tweeters jbl selenium or orion xtr or hcca. and prv also makes some good tweets as well. make sure you have ofc 1/0 wire and good grounds and plenty of back up power, as in extras batteries and h/o alternator..and enclosures for the speakers are key. dynamat/kilmat inside your doors and seal them off unless you making a correct port through the door.
@@scataxoriginal8234 interesting ill look into what you just mentioned and ill make sure the person whos installing me the speskers can also do all if not some of the extra stuff that you mentioned (wires & kilmat etc ..). Im really looking forward to my end results in the near future although im sure it wound sound as crisp as your but its my first car and hopefully I can step my game up for my next car. 8mnd i dont have them blocked. But on the 6.5's i have inline 100hz. Blocker

How do like the Eminence speakers?
They are good sound quality if your get the right series of those speakers with right clean watts and enclosure and equalizer. but they are in the top 5 of speakers of choice
I have 2 pairs of beymas pro65ND 1 pair in my car and other in truck. Im thinking of putting both pairs in car. Just dont know if i should install tweeters because the pair of beymas screem nicely. The location of my speakers on the door bottom. If i do put tweeters where should i mount them? Theres a speaker vent on back doors on window edge that is closest to the front. Should i put both pairs of pro65ND in my sedan? I have a 300/4 v1 jl audio slash. Is 4 speakers plus 2 stock tweeters and 2 aftermarket tweeters good?
Maybe a higher output amp would be good for sure maybe soundigital or a cheaper route get a taramp dsp or hd 3000.1 and keep tje gain way down. That way you have Clean efficient watts. A super tweeter in each front door would be choice. Beyma tweets are pricey. Maybe some skar tweeters. The 4 inch series is crazy loud and clear. And $60 a pair. Midranges only go so high in frequency b4 distortion or being accurate. Some also reommend putting tweeters on a separate amp. But you can run all of them off one amp to get the job done. The jl amp you have works fine but ypu can get more volume with more wattage only if you have the back power/battery(s).
SCATAX original thanks, i will be checking for those tweeters. I have already bought 2 different pairs. One is frkm rockford 1" and the other j cant think of it but it looks like a bullet and its a 4". I will have to customize my doors if i want to add a 4". I have a 2014 passat sedan. I have a extra battery for audio but haven't put it on. I heard i could damage my alternator if i go with the stock one. I have another 4channel jl audio but only 3 channels work. Also have a chunch 4 channel with supposedly 1200 watts but i cant find where the rms for it. I have a few mono amps too. 1200 rf 2000 performance teknique 750 jvc arsenal 500 rf prime 1200 kicker cva.
