    Taras is the type of dude that will literally break your arm and drive you to the hospital. His top roll is nasty!

      @Mike A
      Facts,
      his style combined with his power and insane hit is very dangerous.
      Actually he hurt many armwrestlers including Brzenk.
      If you face this type of armwrestler and are not sure about yourself, it’s better to let it go and lose with your whole body to avoid injury.

      @Weghweh Hwewehwhe yeh he can lmao, he is still a beast. Look at John brzenk he is like almost 60 and still destroying younger people. Taras managed to top roll brzenk who has wrist and hand made of iron, although Tara's didn't pin him, it shows just how much of an animal he is.

    Taras has the Bagent strategy of ‘Screw what the other guy is gonna do. I’m just gonna be overwhelmingly powerful at MY thing!’ He has the timing and the power. Anyone who thinks a hook is more powerful than toproll should consider Taras as a case for the opposite.

    • @senko8327
      @senko8327 4 года назад +8

      Mr Taras Ivakins style I liken it as
      Almost Transitioning from a hook to toproll style, the fundamentals of a hook are there ( Cupping ) and yet the exposing of leverage like a toproll, a nasty combo he has mastered well!

    • @NSB25445
      @NSB25445 4 года назад +4

      Taras hooks first and transitions to a top roll next. One is cupping and the other is pronation. You pronate to eliminate his cupping and you cup to eliminate his pronation. You can't say one is more powerful than the other. They are opposed techniques better suited to different pullers.

      Yes, I had watched a couple of years ago. I can't believe I missed this particular detail haha. I knew he was injured but I didn't know he was because of Taras. Maybe if he wasn't injured he could have beaten Voevoda, who knows. I should watch the documentary again I guess.

    • @demonicon1
      @demonicon1 6 лет назад +3

      You are correct, he beat John off the hop but John held him for a while before going control and winning. He injured himself and it's a shame. I'd love to have seen him pull voevoda fresh

    • @fistoftulkas7335
      @fistoftulkas7335 6 лет назад +49

      That Voevoda was too big, too strong and too good, Brzenk wouldn't have won anyway, not a chance in my view... And that "injury" was really blown out of proportion, yes Ivakin gave him hell and grilled John's arm a bit, but it's not like he was a cripple...

    Not sure how long ago this was when he beat the living shit out of Larratt. He (Devon) looks quite young and less muscular so I'm guessing 15 years ago at least. I wonder how he'd fare against No Limits now? Does Taras even arm wrestle anymore? I only just heard of this guy recently and haven't done any research

    • @gmsleepless6530

      He beat Devon in 2006 , he trains now for arm wrestling but not going for something big yet , he is still strong tho :P

    With all due respect to mr. Alan Watts, maybe it's his conclusions that are outdated, maybe it's his whole world view that is illegitimate, whatever the case, it's not about chasing money, it's about leveraging it to get what you need. To do that, you don't even have to have it.

      Yes I know.. I remember that match and voevoda wasn’t at his best shape back then(and not as heavy)
      Its true voevodas wrist power and control was really something, i can only recall Travis hit in 2003 when he surprised him before he got smashed in 2004 by voevodas best ever version
