    3 years latter and there is still only one lens that works with this gadget. CAnon should of just integrated it into the lens, would of made it cheaper to produce.

    Thanks for this. How did you find the resulting footage? Was the powerzoom slow enough for a slow creeping zoom shot?

    Hi, I understand this adaptor was exclusively designed for the 18-135mm Canon lens, but could I use any other Canon camera besides the D80, specifically the Rebel T7I or the 77D?
    I figured having slightly different bodies this might be an issue.
    Thanks

      Hi Henry, yes you can use it with other cameras too as they have the same EF-S mount.

    Does the motor work when not attached to the lens? Does it turn when presing on the back and forward buttons?

    I'm was wonder if they can fits into canon Rebel ESO SL2?

    • @DigitalGojaUSA
      @DigitalGojaUSA  5 лет назад

      Hi, Tiffy Hughes! The electronic portion will be compatible if using the Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens. Remote-controlled zooming is possible in conjunction with the EOS 80D using the Canon Camera Connect app or EOS Utility software.

      Hey Woodant, I've been wondering the same thing. What other lenses would you prefer to have compatibility with the PZ-E1 adapter?

    Can I still use a follow focus with this?

    • @DigitalGojaUSA
      @DigitalGojaUSA  7 лет назад

      Hi there! It would be difficult. The PZ-1 adapter will obstruct the bottom portion of the lens. However, the Dual Pixel AF should be good enough so you shouldn't need a follow focus rig.

      @DigitalGojaUSA  7 лет назад

      Hi Inigo, we would suggest the Canon 50mm 1.8 or 1.4, or the Canon 85mm lens.

    Great idea from Canon but their camera's only shoot in 1080P. Even smartphones have 4K now days so Canon video is obsolete!

    • @JacobOwensDesigns
      @JacobOwensDesigns 6 лет назад +8

      4K is overrated. If your purpose is to broadcast on social media and RUclips then HD is fantastic and Canon excels in this market. 4K is good if your intentions is to crop your frames or zoom in without worrying about resolution issues. Or if you are into producing commercials, Indie films or movie productions then sure maybe 4K is preferred but it's not the universal standard for a lot of reasons. However, the amount of hard drive memory, battery lifespan, ram power, and CPU required is significant, especially in post-production. Yes, 4K has higher resolution but when comparing it to HD format it's not revolutionary. It's not so drastic that people would stop watching great content or storytelling because it's not 4K. Great storytelling, proper lighting, creative post-production to name a few always wins regardless if it's HD or 4K.

      @@JacobOwensDesigns well said. I've been shooting music videos and documentaries for over 15 years and I still use canon and 1080. Canon's m50 successful sales prove that 4k isn't everything.
