  • Bethany Lutheran College Theatre professor Peter Bloedel walks you through the process of building a fun Pinocchio puppet that can be used for the stage or any other application. This puppet has a working mouth and joints and with two operators can walk and run.
As a bonus, there are miniature Pinocchio puppets that are included in this video, including: Pinocchio flying on the back of a crow, a "swimming Pinocchio" puppet, and a "swimming Pinocchio and Geppetto" puppet rig.
Here are some affiliate links for some of the materials used in making these puppets. Using these links helps the channel. Thanks everybody:

I just want you to know how much I appreciate this video. I am artistic but no professional by any means. I was asked to make a version of Milky White cow for my daughter’s high school musical, Into the Woods. I was stumped on how to get its mouth to open and close with a default of always being closed. I’ve watched so many how to videos and read over so many tutorials but nothing helped my simple brain to understand the mechanism to get its mouth to open when pulling a trigger from the back top of its head. I was able to use stuff around my house. Yes, I even found fishing weights and was smashing them flat. Who knew! Thank you for the thorough explanation and I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you today. I’ve moved on from the cow head and able to work on its body. I’m sure it will be a hit and all because of your help. I came for the how to but stayed in awe of the cool video effects you shared. I would have loved to see this play and I have such a renewed respect for the arts you are part of. I’m close to Atlanta, and there is the Puppetry of Arts Museum here. They put on shows and I will be visiting again because of you being an inspiration. Thank you!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
