- Tesla is about to reveal their first-quarter 2024 earnings post-market close on Tuesday, April 23rd. The decrease in deliveries is projected to impact earnings negatively, as already reported earlier from TSLA. I will be curious to hear what’s Elon’s plans in regards to their product roadmap w/ the robotaxi's debut in August.

Tesla will be at $100 after earnings call. We all know they will miss earnings and unless they can get the robo taxi going in the next 12 to 16 months Tesla is going to drop like a rock. $95 to $100 a share when market opens wendsday morning.

What are your Tesla stock predictions going into earnings? Do you think we are going LOWER after earnings - or Is the fear already priced in and TSLA will reverse and go higher??
It'll bottom out around 90-100
Since it already went down too much, I don't think the investors who currently hold Tesla stocks are any more fear than before. Therefore, it's all about Elon's new guidance. If the investors believe it, TESLA will reverse. TESLA will dive otherwise. I trust Elon's robotaxi.
Tesla is one of the most unpredictable stocks in the market, probably the most unpredictable stock in the S&P 500. I'm not playing around earnings, there's just no knowing. I'll be a buyer under 125 or when there's an indication that sentiment is turning, whichever comes first, but OTOH, on the downturn I only trimmed off what I had bought on the last dip and still have a substantial long term position so I'm not looking to get into a position, just bargain hunting.
OTOH the whole market is negative, there may be a lot of other deals. I'd love to get back into Nvidia and add to MSFT at the right price.

The pattern has been a drop before earnings. This one will be likely more bad news so it may drop more. In any case for long term investors this is a great buying opportunity.

I got an 80 dollar cash secured put expiring 12/26 and I am getting nervous about that even. Tesla's fair value is around 46 bucks when valued as a car company which there is no longer any reason to do anything but that. Should be interesting moving forward.

The word dip would imply that the price is temporarily going from a high to low and back to the high. The price is in free fall. People have been buying the dip since $270.

I have done very well with Tesla on a buy and hold strategy but now I’m wondering if I need to sell it all and buy it again at $100 or if I will be in a great place in five years when I need the money? I’m open to peoples opinions.
Hey Joe, if it came down to $100 I would attempt to buy it for a hold. We will see. After earnings will give you a clearer picture of the chances of $100 being hit

The economy is crap, the car market is dying, EV sales are declining, and consumer spending is dropping. Why not buy more? I will stay short until the 110-120's

The additional bad news are that Tesla will be taxed at higher rate this quarter and that the overhead of Cybertruck ramp-up may be higher than expected.

I just don't know why anyone would want to buy from them after those insane price drops which proved that the vehicles were always overpriced compared to the quality and longevity of the vehicles.
Yea a lot of people are upset for good reasons. I have close friends who bought the model y $20k more than its today
@@DeadnsydeOh no. Hopefully they at least like the vehicle, but that range is a NO for me (Prius Gang 😎). Also, I don't like what I've seen about those EV batteries catching fire while parked and not in use. I'd never want to park one in my garage. I genuinely wonder if homeowner's insurance might increase for EV owners. I think PHEVs are a better deal at the moment. Then you add Elon's odd personality 😅 Maybe I should buy the dip and bet on an inevitable rise once he eventually steps down as CEO.

I like your analysis. But see,… I’m not a trader. I’m a long term investor. Will Tesla succeed in the long term? Ten to twenty years from now? I have no doubt that it will. Do I care what happens to the price in the meantime? Not really.
I respect your opinion and I think that's a very stress free sort of outlook to have. I will have the same outlook but if it gets to the $100-$109 area. Good support there

at 55c adjusted earnings/share it's still 264x and we already know that exponential growth is gone for good
it IS a car company - nothing more - without growth at 264x earning
