Clannad changed my entire perspective of life. I was just an ordinary highschool kid with ordinary parents living an ordinary life, taking things for granted. After seeing Clannad, I never looked at things the same again. Clannad made me really thankful. For having loving parents. For having a place I can call home. For being able to live a leisure life. For everything I had basically. Clannad also made me realize that life is a story that eventually comes to an end. I’ll grow up, one day I’ll have my own family, my parents will become old, and eventually they won’t be around anymore. And there’s nothing I can do about that, so the best thing to do is to enjoy every moment now so that when everything’s gone I won’t regret. I used to avoid interecting with my dad a lot, but now I take every opportunity to and we play basketball everyday. I know that one day we won’t be able to do these things together anymore so I’m making the time now. I’m extremely grateful for clannad for teaching me these things.
The beautiful part of it is, if it'll be possible, you'll be playing basketball with your children and your dad will be there to coach them. And the best part of it? Your wife will be there cheering both of you on.
I watched it in 2014. It changed my life. It has influenced every relationship I've been in. It changed the way I consume media. I compare everything to it, and I always try to find the message in all media. It is honestly scripture for me. Every time I watch it I learn something new. That is what art is.
Bröstvårta There are just too powerful and meaningful themes present in the anime to get over it. Like someone else said I apply it’s philosophy onto my own life.
Even if it's already 10 years now since i've been watching clannad for the first time i'm still addicted to it i don't know how many times i've been watching or playing it since then but still got tears in my eyes like the first time it's just a masterpiece in so many ways take this music for example it's just beautiful clannad is just the best drama anime ever
This anime fucks you up and leaves scars. But i would not regret a single second of it. (After i saw it i traveled 150 miles to my little sister and hugged her when she met me on the train station, and she thought i was silly when i cried.)
Clannad was special to me still is, I really connected with tomoya. His struggles with his home life and growing up. To the working with no purpose feeling like you’ve lost everything and just going through the motions of life. Been there done that. Feeling that much more connected to the show just made the show so much more impactful on me. No matter what happens life is worth all the hardships all the sacrifices all the good and the bad. And that eventually people die they can die today or 70 years from now but don’t take that time with them for granted because you never know what life will throw next. But something I truly learned from this show was you have to go all in trying to make everyone happy will wind up in everyone being hurt. But most of all it thought me to try and see past my rough upbringing and forgive my father. I truly believe this show is so much than a slice of life or anything it’s a very good representation of life.
This series even years after watching it the first time can still make me this emotional just with a single song from the ost. This series was the first to truly touch me and make me appreciate all the things I have in my life and I'd DAMN well recommend anybody who hasn't watched it to do so because it will change your life. [also bring tissues cause you will cry a few times watching this all the way through both series, don't say you weren't warned :P]
The Nagisa ost is so nostalgic it almost brings a tear to my eyes. Man... Clannad story has a way of connecting with its watchers in a way that is incredibly rare in media.
I can never stop thinking about this series, I struggle alot to find an anime series that I would enjoy more than clannad. Or a series that resonates more with me than clannad ever did
Daddy... What is it, Ushio? Where are we? Are we on the train? Yeah. We're on the train already. It's dark... Is it night? That's right. It's midnight. Oh... Daddy? I love you... Yeah. I love you too, Ushio. (Ushio smiles for the last time, as she close her eyes, and strength leaves her arms)
So far in the distance of memories, yet, also so tangible in the love we share in these times. So quickly the years pass, in your embrace, yet, towards what parting do we venture towards, hand in hand?
Synthesia is probably one of the better programs to use if you want to learn a song on piano, and there are videos for that here on youtube :3 /watch?v=UWO3jQNScYA is an example. You can also download the program and just use a midi version of the song you want to learn, and you can choose the speed etc, so I would recommend you to check that out~ ^^
Tnx, I'll check it out! I hope it's not that hard because I really like to play it in piano, but it seems that the piano doesn't like me... T^T , oh well, wish me luck! ^^b
I can't be sure, but I was looking for something with a similar description. I found it, though I'm not sure if it's what you wanted. watch?v=3AVPuEWhEu0&feature=related

Once started clannad is never truly finished

@Setsugen It was at most okay, but definitely overrated. I respect the soundtrack tho, which is the reason I'm here

I agree.
100%
Especially after you've lost your own child - it hurts and helps - if that makes sense.

The perfect ending of a masterpiece known as Clannad.

do you have the sheet music? I want to play it :)
THE TEARS! ;_;

what is the piano piece which is very short and comes in the tv show when things are tense? i love this piano piece though aswell :)
5 years passed but i always cry like a bitch
I wish they do a movie with real actors for CLANNAD i think it will be incredible
nah its not the same as they will look much different, anohana did quite a good version however so you never know
😭
like this backgroud image, Clannad ftw!
because it's based on the dango tune :) at least I think so and not the other way around ^^

Did this ever play in the anime itself or it is just a remix of "a palm of a tiny hand"?
Jeppe No, I don’t believe it did. It’s just a piano cover of Small Palms :)
They are not gonna do that because the game ended there to.
Why does part of it sound like Dango Daikazoku?
7 years late but here:
The Dango song was made to sound like Nagisa's theme, so this takes inspiration from Nagisa's theme.
The first few seconds I thought it was black ops zombies theme lol
2018
here, man
Cod bo2 music
Am i the only one who misread the name tiny palm, into something else....
Uh... cuz same melody? lol
