Memento is a remix album for the Clannad visual novel, and was first released on December 28, 2004 in Japan by [Key Sounds Label]. The album contains two discs with seventeen tracks remixed from background music featured on the [Clannad Original Soundtrack]. Riya provides vocals for four songs: "Mag Mell", "-Kage Futatsu-", "Chiisana Tenohira", and "Sakura Jokyoku"; Lia provides vocals for the song "Ana".
Each track is arranged by a different person, three of which include Shinji Orito, Magome Togoshi, and OdiakeS.

I don’t know where this is from, I believe it is the scene where Tomoya doesn’t want to graduate and Nagisa tells him to keep moving forward, either way this quote hit my like a truck, just like the rest of Clannad
Spot on! This track was playing while that scene was happening, so I decided to reference it with that quote. As with many of the music pieces in Clannad, it complemented the moment perfectly and conveyed the emotions Tomoya was going through at that moment very well.
@@FarCritical To me, this scene foreshadows that Tomoya should keep moving forward even though Nagisa is not by his side anymore. It was da, yet... beautiful.

The core message of clannad as a whole in my opinion
"I won't ever be a student at that school again. I hated school, but If it was with you, I wanted to spend all my time there forever. My student life was rotten as hell, but the last year I spent with you was fun. I was happy!"
Hits different when you're actually finished with high school and the emotions just hit you all at once..
I'll never be able to feel as free as I did back then when the world viewed me as a child, having no responsibilities and being able to have fun all the time. It sucks but you just gotta remain steadfast.. I guess
When that scene at the foot of the hill happened with Tomoya questioning if he wanted to go on in life without Nagisa. Then Nagisa started walking on and Tomoya was quiet about it, I found myself shouting "GO GET HER YOU IDIOT!!!"
Dude that comment gave me Sunohara vibes, I can honestly imagine him being there yelling at Tomoya, “THE ARE YOU DOING IDIOT? GO GET HER!”
Writing this comment made me want to cry...

I did my wedding processional to this song. And the first moment i saw my wife in her dress was at 2:38 i have to hold back tears every single time i hear it.
He hugged her soo hard her shoe fell off! I can't remember how long it's been since I hugged someone that hard, but I remember the feeling. Tomoya may be a fictional character - but there's plenty of people who can identify with him. Good Man! Nagisa was Best Girl.

Feels feels and feels
I just wanna say it used to be cliche when people said this anime changed their life but for me I can't say it enough. I didn't have an amazing relationship with my father in my teen years especially after my parents separated. This anime made me value family at such a higher level and after a lot of thinking, I built up the courage to ask my dad to go out to dinner with me to talk. At first, it was awkward we hadn't had a man-to-man in years, but after the initial barrier had been crossed he mentioned how he thought I hated him and apologized. I had no idea he even thought this and to be honest I thought it had been the reverse. We talked until the resteraunt closed and it felt like we had completely mended the bond we had lost. This was about 3 years ago, in a week I'm driving 8 hours out to visit him. I'm constantly looking back at this show and how it changed me as a person and my relationships. Clannad changed my life, and I'm so glad I got to experience it like I did.

xxtalzixx Hey there, did you know this song is the truly original one? It used as background music when Tomoya and Nagisa were dating on the summer episode, and when Tomoya graduated from the school while Nagisa not.
This composition is based on tracks from the original OST. It's actually a remix of "Nagisa: Parting at the Foot of the Hill" and "The Place Where Wishes Come True".
Nagisa was his savin grace thats for sure :)

No other anime will hit me harder emotionally. This was my first non-action anime and it made me cry for hours when watching and rewatching it. Tomoya x nagisa forever.

I think it always starts at 1:56, which is also the reason it took me so long to find it lol

ImperialMan100 I think it shows that Nagisa was Tomoya's angel. She completely turned his life around for the absolute best.

I was pretty much thinking the same thing, but I also think about the fact that Tomoya thought of himself as worthless and of very little value, but Nagisa's intervention in his life made him feel like he was worth something. I get this impression because Tomoya looks almost depressed in this picture, and Nagisa seems to be acting as a comforter to him which I think is a very beautiful picture. Thanks for the thought!
