"A dog is for Christmas, not just for life" :D That night time raz was brilliant mate! My mate supercharged one of these, absolutely mental
glad you liked it buddy!
Love your enthusiasm! My Z3 1.9 is a blast. Not to mention the great gas mileage. I have BC coilovers installed and I live in Northern California with incredible twisty mountain roads to enjoy driving. Thanks for your informative channel Geoff.
Hello Michael. How has the 1.9 been treating you? I might pick one up in Sacramento this week
@@er1115 It’s a real pleasure. The gas mileage is a big plus. I never feel like it’s underpowered. I have a brilliant mechanic and he talked me into the BC coilovers. They completely transformed the car. He also found a few vacuum leaks and after they were eliminated the power band was restored. I have 142,000 on it. I was fortunate to find a hardtop which is nice for the winters. It also has a rare factory flared rear end. I have a pretty cool extra set of 17 inch factory alloys if your interested. I upgraded to some 18’s. I just need to replace the seat covers and install a louder exhaust and I’m done. BUY ONE!
Michael Duffy that sounds awesome. Thank you for all of the info. Yes if the sellers replies to me, I will definitely buy those wheels off you. Thank you! And be safe 🍻
Thats nice in the blue, had a few Z3’s iver the years a 98 2.8, 01 2.0 & a 99 Z3M
Great video mate, I’ve got an E46 M3 convertible & have the roof down whenever I can too!
oooh i'd love an M3 Cabrio!
My daughter and I recently bought two 1996 BMW Z3s. Hers is black with tan interior and 43k miles mine is the Silver with black and red interior with 51k miles. We are never selling these cars
I’ve got a 1.8 z3 with 267.000 miles😁 third owner, dealer maintenance.
I have a 2001 Z3 straight 6 with 212601 kilometers or 1321.137 miles on the clock lol runs promo. But wait, I have just purchased a 1998 Z3 4 cylinder 1890cc with 135.000 kilometers or 82.000 miles and its a little beauty. Yep I have to do a night drive, that would have to be the "ultimate driving experience" in a Z3 drop top. Love your enthusiasm for the Z3
I love my 2000 2.8 Z3
Welp now you convinced me, imma get a 1.9 Z3 as my second car to replace my miata
Fantastic video! I've owned a Black 1.9 Z3 too a few years ago, and had a couple of MK2 MX5'S... Infact I'm gonna be buying another mx5 or Z3 soon. But I'm torn between the 2. The MX5's were religiously reliable and in my opinion more fun then the Z3. But I feel I have unfinished business with a Z3... Hmm...
thank you!
I'm looking for a cheap fun car. Mx5 or z3 if you only had to choose one. My budget is 3k (I know not much)
@@UnseenSpirit well altogether I've had 3 MX5's and 1 Z3... I'd personally go for a Z3 I don't want another MX5 even though they are great cars. The BMW Z3 is a bit more special and refined. If you get the 1.9 like I had, make sure it's the higher 140bhp not the lower power ones as it's a big difference. Also make sure it's a manual. The auto Z3's are rubbish and slow
@@JustinD93 thanks for the reply. I'm looking at a 2.8 in silver that needs some tlc. The owner has said there's play in the steering wheel and the engine needs a service and is at 134k miles.. The owner has said the bonnet needs a buffing and he selded some sills... Not viewed it yet in person so it may not be in the best condition. Or a clean 1.9 in red with full service history at 84k miles. It's 138 bhp looking at the advert. I think the 1.9 will be less trouble and a better financial option overall. Decisions, decisions haha.
@@UnseenSpirit the 1.9 is by far the sensible choice but if I had to choose between the 2 I'd probably be tempted to get the 2.8. They are meant to be so much fun to drive. Will be a lot quicker. Here in UK the 2.8 is double the cost of a 1.9. you'll have fun either way aslong as they are well looked after. Make sure the roof works as it should and there's no rips or tears. Because the roofs cost a fortune to replace
Still my dream car even after I bought an NSX. One day I will get one.
Google the cheat codes and you can own both and even more.
How bad is the automatic in these cars? I've found one almost identical to this one in good shape. I'd prefer the manual but I'm just not seeing one at a good price.
2.8 all day
How much did you pay
£900 I think
Дети в конце сказали: "Всем пока!"??
Wouldn’t have a 1.9 when there are plenty of 2.8’s available. Don’t buy a 1.9 🙄
Tell you what, every time you find a 2.8 that’s on the road and driveable for £900, send me a link and I’ll buy it!
@@GeoffBuysCars I don’t how much that is in my dollars, but I paid $3200 for mine. It’s in excellent condition.
@@GreenWitch1 Exactly. This channel is about cheap cars. I paid under £1,000 for this 1.9, a good 2.8 is closer to £5,000 now. :-)
@@GeoffBuysCars Ok. I didn’t know that. $1000 cars? What’s the point if you can’t afford to fix them? Maybe where you live you can get something that runs for that price, but I live in Hawaii. I got a good deal on my car. I watch a lot of Z3 videos because I want to replace a few parts on my car before they fail. I can afford to invest a few thousand into my car because I love driving it!
