Absolutely fabulous! I went with my sister to see her last month and was completely overwhelmed with such a fantastic performance. The whole show ran so smoothly, incredibly talented musicians and backing singers, beautiful stage set which was lit with gorgeous purples and blues, very atmospheric indeed. One thing which often goes wrong in live shows is the sound balance, but the engineer was spot on. Superb. I'd say that was a fine team there, which complimented Ms Lang perfectly. As for K D Lang, I doubt words will suffice here, but she gave the best performance I'd ever seen from anyone in my entire life. I'm only just learning about her and her music, I was hoping to see another performance again in future, but understand that if she needs a break, whether it be short term or indefinitely, then that's completely fine. She's given so much of herself to us, I'm amazed there's anything left after just one night, let alone a whole tour. Life is a journey of many paths. I wish her the best and send my gratitude for such a marvellous experience x
I have all her cd's and dvd's and this one is her best! How fortunate you were, Helen, to see her in person! You got her just in time, as I believe that this was her last tour. We are so fortunate that she made a dvd out of it so when you watch it you can relive your great experience of seeing her there LIVE! I loved reading your comment of appreciation because I also realize all she gives and wish her the best in her personal life after all her years of hard work as such a fantastic singer and performer.
