Hi, I own Brezza ZDI+ 2019. Coz of pandamic and WFH, my car hardly runs. I ensure idle start every week. I got the car serviced at 10000KMS in February and it's at 15000KMS in August. My car has been sitting idle for long maybe runs once a week. Recently, my friend noticed, who was driving behind that during sudden pickup the exhaust produce lot of black smoke. Do i need to worry? What is your professional advice on this. Thanks
Nothing to worry. In a diesel it is a common tendancy to give out black smoke during sudden acceleration. Just make sure u idle the car on regular intervals when not in use. If you find too much of black smoke then get your intercooler cleaned with diesel once, never water wash. Look basically when there is a lot of oil content in the intercooler and when you give sudden acceleration for an overtake etc the turbo gets activated, so the excess oil in intercooler gets burnt and pushed out through the exhaust. This is where you see the black smoke. U don't need to be worried👍
Look of your usage is not much then u can go with Castrol synthetic technology as shown in the video or the mobil1 synthetic technology oil... This will keep the internal components of the engine clean and healthy. The synthetic technology might cost a bit more than mineral oil but they are completely work it. Hope this was helpful for u.

It's a battery run check.. if the battery light stays on after the car is started then your car battery is low and soon needs to be changed

Look every 40k km is what I feel. But when u do regular oil change its not necessary to do oil flush.

It depends on your budget.
For a petrol I would recommend mobil one synthetic oil
