THANK YOU FLICK VAULT for all the killer movies ! I'm here in the States really enjoying ALL these great British films from back when they knew how to make them. No CGI, no profanity and sex in every other scene. They just had really good content and talented actors. Times were simpler then and these films make me feel nostalgic for those sunny slopes of yesterday.

How about you go and watch some Marvel comic book, super-hero trash on a pay channel, if you don' like the excellent old movies that FLICK VAULT give us for free.

Not too mention the ever escalating pornography of violence that started in the movie world in the 60's and which now has reached absolutely ridiculous levels.
Who was it that decided we need to be exposed to that ?

Yes, I have to admit that I too thought he was a young Charles Boyer. This film almost brought tears to my eyes. So much better than the blood & guts of the last 60 yrs. of terrible films (Lou Steinberg)

In my opinion, Valerie is very unsympathetic character. She hasn't just stole the famous, dead writer name, to publish her book, but also pretended to be his widow. Hadn't he showed up, she would continued her writing career under the dead writher's name? By the way, where Dominique wrote his book? In captivity? But noble Dominique did after all what "poor" Valerie couldn't dare to do. What exactly and with whom she is in love - watch this flick and you'll find out.

I know Spanish even taught it and have met French people and even know French teachers and have always believed the French I’m sure with few exceptions, carry themselves with superiority just like the British But this arrogance remains mostly in the “ aristocracy” the elitist groups
I experienced the same feeling getting on a bus in Paris once when asking the bus driver for directions to Versailles. In all these brief acquaintances in my life I’ve struggled with the source of this superiority in both the English and French and have come to the conclusion that it’s built into their language a form of hidden propaganda of self worth that creates it!
