  • You guys asked for it, and you got it. Circling back with the reaper, aka Nick Irving. After such positive feedback after our first episode with him, we sit down again and go even deeper into some of the social policies we talked about the first time, what he’s been up to since that episode as well as his new book and what’s coming down the pipeline. Another great chat you won’t want to miss.
Purchase his new book Reaper: Threat Zero

Mike the news media is in the media business. The goal of any business is to maximize profit. What drives what we see is money, not morality. I am not in the media business but I would bet a year of my earned income that news media companies have spent a lot of money studying what brings in the highest ratings. They continuously focus on the sensational, horrifying, scandalous, obscene, racially charged, etc because that’s what brings in the highest ratings.. If the masses stopped paying attention to that shit they would stop talking about those things. People won’t stop paying attention though because we are evolved to pay attention to matters that in tribal times likely would have impacted our personal safety/security. No insidious grand conspiracy, just business. Love the podcast. Can’t wait for the next one!

Love your show... You have said many times about how someone on social media can sit behind their computer and say just about anything they want... and I agree with you.. I have been into computer's (owning companies) from the very beginning and I have always believed if you do not have something constructive or positive to say then, don't say anything...... This is something that needs to be "learned' and "trained" this is 'Old School" but we need to point this out when ever we can... Use your platform to bend minds....
    Keep doing what you do...

WOW! What a great discussion Mike, was excellent listening Nick. You reached out and touched me bud. Having come from an interracial family (black father, brother, and two sisters) and living in Gary, IN West Side for 8 years I believed there was no way I could be racist (I'm white FYI). Due to recent circumstances with the riots, looting, etc, sadly I had. After listening to you two I am going to work on eliminating those negative opinions and get back to non-generalizing. Thanks again and realize these discussions change lives.

I guess it’s the same as white people saying warsh instead of wash, wrassle instead or wrestle, etc. Nick grew up in a low income environment but his parents were educated which is why they corrected him. It’s just a lack of education and environmental circumstances which is why some black people speak that way. Keep up the great work brother.

New viewer here Mike and I'm a definite fan! unfortunately, I blew out my shoulder a couple weeks ago and had a reconstruction surgery done early this week . Been in the recliner watching youtube on my tv because i can't do much else right now. I came across your podcast during topic searches and began to watch many of them. Words can't do justice to the education you and your combat vet guests provide those of us who have no experience in the arena you combat vets have. First and foremost, I thank you and your vet guests for your bravery and dedicated service to our nation. It's a privilege for America to have men like you and your guests. Quite frankly, the stories shared on your podcast are far more revealing than any news we civilians receive. I feel more Americans should be watching these podcasts...I believe a new perspective would exist if they did. My father was a Korean war vet and served in the army. He taught me about patriotism and what the flag means to all vets. He was a very proud vet. I thought I knew patriotism learning from him but your podcast and guests have taken me to a new level of patriotic pride because you gents have opened my eyes like never before. My sincerest gratitude goes out to you, shawn ryan, nick irving, kevin owens and the rest of the guests (list is too long to type one handed!) God bless you all and thanks again for your service to our nation!

Speaking of breeding... A friend of mine and I got sick of hunting our Upland Game spots because they had already been hunted out by our friends. One night we were talking on how best to use his 10 acres of land and we decided that we were going to breed birds and sell/distribute them. Then we started thing about cross breeding bird; a pheasant and a quail would be a phail, a partridge and a chukar would be a parchar…. and so on. Later we decided to mix a chukar and a pheasant and call it a chuckant. My friend changed his mind and decided that the pheasant and chukar should be called a "PHUKAR" so we want to build a phukar farm where you come around and shoot any phukar you like.

The military has come along way on race relations. But its still has a ways to go. Keep up the good work both of you.

Just read the book, Threat Zero. It was fucking insanely good. Can't wait to get my Hand On Drone Strike. The team-up with Tata Is far better than him alone. Outstanding writing , Plot , delivery, pace, with total PLAUSIBILITY. I will own and read all Hardcovers of all your books by the end of the week. Thank you, Mr. Irving and Mike Ritland for your service to our country, You are appreciated greatly. P.S. I had no trouble garnering 5 of my friends to both subscribe to your channel and read Mr. Irving's books.

Mike, I’m a huge fane from Buffalo N.Y. I watch all your podcasts and my dream guests for you are Marcus Luttrell and Pat McNamara. I would love to see those dudes on your show. ESP the new and improved version. Your channel has such a good look and feel now.

Agree … would be a dream podcast to see Marcus Luttrell with Mike.
Would also love to see Mike on Team Never Quit as well!

@@brendanriley1968 yeah man totally agree. It be cool if Mike got Marcus and Morgan on the show together. And yeah I want to see Dave Rutherford screaming nice things at Mike. I love the one Mike did with Shawn Ryan, top notch.

@@mikegutschow8384 Agree! Just finished the Shawn Ryan episode and was impressed! He’s a real one for sure. Subscribed to Vigilance Elite after watching.
I thoroughly enjoyed Dakota Meyer’s episode on Mike Drop. Mike’s conversation with him is one of the best podcast episodes out there, in my opinion. It gets deep.
I’m a Civilian Asshole 😊 as Mike says, but I absolutely enjoy watching and listening to these men tell their experiences. They are beyond inspiring!
🤞for a Marcus and Morgan episode on Mike Drop.
IMO, these men are who the nation ‘should protect at all costs’ bc they literally did that for us!🇺🇸
      I am grateful.🙏
