Not gonna lie, Martha just captivated me in a way nobody ever has. She's clearly beautiful, but also her character, her rambling, her humour. Interesting Characters like this should be the centre of reality TV shows, not the damn Kardashians!
I like her a lot. I’ve seen this clips on all my socials and she makes me reflect on my own issues every time. We all have these thoughts and feelings, she just shares hers. Self love and kindness is everything.
Self hating narc would usually be of the covert kind. Overt narcs tend to lack the shame necessary or the self awareness of the existence of shame, usually tho the coverts have self awareness and better capacity for shame. One type hates themselves while the other type loves themselves but on the outside both appear to love themselves.
I love her energy. It’s decisively indecisive. She’s confident in what her problems are and what are good attributes and has a general idea of what she wants but when she has trouble explaining, she quickly looks to correct herself. She has no shame in correcting herself nor any shame poking fun at herself nor any shame complimenting herself. An “overly confident” person is often a narcissist and doesn’t like to admit when they are wrong. IMO, those people aren’t actually confident but pretend to be. This woman has the confidence I wish to have - no your problems, be okay with them while addressing them, know your good traits, and be honest in life
@@nicbarth3838 ALL people with NPD are self-hating. Self hatred (and the refusal/pathological inability to ever get past the fear and insecurity of that) is the baseline of what NPD is. Grandiose narcs are only masking their deep seated self hatred with big, smoke-and-mirror shows of hyper-competitiveness. They smother you with their (fake) sense of high self esteem. Covert narcs, on the other hand, smother you with their (real, but exaggerated for effect) sense of low self esteem. Grandiose narcs manipulate by pitying you. Covert narcs manipulate by getting you to pity them. Many narcs vacillate between BOTH grandiose AND covert. Those are the most destructive narcs of all. Idk this woman and I wouldn't make any assumptions just based on this one video.

Great interview. This should be a great 'time capsule' interview in 50 years as an example of how young women were (spoke, thought, felt) in the early 2020's in NYC. I imagine people 50 years in the future will absolutely love this.
I think we would all like to have someone like her in our lives, as a friend or a lover. Simply because, she's so genuine and open. People like this are indeed rare. Best of luck to her!
Thank you for saying this, throughout I felt like oh wow this girl is me if I'd started therapy 10 years earlier 😅 because we're "so rare" we don't find many other people like us, and it can feel quite isolating. It's lovely to read that actually people like how different we are, and that I shouldn't hide that bit of me just cause I'm an adult 💚
Well I didn't expect the personable reply. Says alot about you Kat. We live in a fairly conformist world at the moment and people are often afraid of things that seem different. Variety makes life interesting. Or as a long dead family member was renowned to say in a Northam English accent, "There's nowt queerer than folk." meant in the old meaning of the word.
@@deepblue69uk Conformity is a feature human nature. Men have been writing about this since men could write. Lao-tze will tell you so if you bother to read the work attributed to him, the Tao Te Ching (~ 400 B.C.). And writing extends far before that date. Most are conformists. Most will be. So the notion of "at the moment" is false.
@@johnp.johnson1541 I'm afraid I cannot agree. Whilst we do bind into tribes and similar culture you do get a certain amount of diversity within those groups. Not everyone likes the same music/fashion/hobbies/beliefs...etc. Conformity of thought, styles, behaviour, fashion etc do vary over time. So I think so say that it's entirely false, perhaps, misses the point I was trying to make. However, happy to agree to disagree.

Being overly inclined to “be there” for others-especially if it’s costly to yourself (& what you need to do) could be a trauma response. (*please note, I said “might be,” and not “100% always is)
@@miahconnell23 short answer: yes. But at first, after the first few ADHD mistakes you make, you may think it’s not. But after those first 30 days, during the few days between scripts, and then when you get a refill you will *really* notice. It’s all about expectations. It’s just meant to slow down your thinking and allow you to stick to the moment. GET THERAPY. Get a few wall clocks and maybe. Timer to just run while you shower. Everything needs to be in your line of sight. Keep keys, wallet and daily items handy in a container where you can see it. Everything is on a delay. Especially your emotions. I have more tips. She’s really cool!! When I lived in NYC in the 90’s this is the exact type of person I wanted to hang out with- “she’s got it”. Fun and genuine and smart. I hope she makes the best memories in NYC
Not gonna lie, Martha just captivated me in a way nobody ever has. She's clearly beautiful, but also her character, her rambling, her humour. Interesting Characters like this should be the centre of reality TV shows, not the damn Kardashians!
She is freaking awesome!!!! Love her bantering!!!! Cracks me up!!!! Wishing this hilarious and beautiful lady well.
She is adorable, absolutely adorable. One of the best street interviews I have watched.
I like her a lot. I’ve seen this clips on all my socials and she makes me reflect on my own issues every time. We all have these thoughts and feelings, she just shares hers. Self love and kindness is everything.
I hope she saves this for when she’s old. How fascinating to have a record of your wonderfulness as a young person.
I love the confident energy here. Self awareness in real time. The self-hating narcissism. She would make a good stand up comic.
This woman has the confidence I wish to have - no your problems, be okay with them while addressing them, know your good traits, and be honest in life
People seem to casually fling around the word narcissism these days like they have no idea what it means.
Oh, get off the narcissism, it’s like the new N-word in America.
This girl is an absolute delight!!😀💗
she‘s just so genuinely kind and comfortable
She's so refreshingly beautiful, and not in a shallow looks sense. For this brief 10 minutes, she restored hope in humanity for me.
Chill out.
She looks good cause she looks natural. She hasn't done anything to her yet. No lip job, no dumb fingernails. No huge tits, not full of make up. Even her teeth are not a 100% straight, which makes her look like a real human being.
@@THEpopelonergan wut?

It surprising this video didn't go viral....
Calling her "The funniest Girl in NYC" is an understatement.
She really is my kind of woman. Complex, likeable and funny, we would never get bored together. This was lovely, thanks.
She is soooo funny and interesting. ❤ "...and it all went downhill from there..." 😂😂😂
This girl's got RIZZ. 😎 And she doesn't seem to be trying, or even AWARE of it!

Aww 🤏 bit of a crush on this charming lady
Definitely
1:00 that awkward laugh… I lost it 🤣
I really enjoyed this video. She's beautiful inside and outside. What a special human, more special than she believes. I pray that she finds true love and has a long and happy life.
Thanks for posting the whole interview. I'd only seen the shorts, so this puts her more in context. I hope she finds what she wants. And I'm glad she doesn't overshare like she used to!
Oh my word, she is adorable!! Young lady, you are a breath of fresh air. Never change who you are. The world needs more ppl like us. I only stepped into my nutty personality at the age of 51, where i finally had the courage to be unapologetically me. Here you are, 22 years old, and already embracing all of you...well done!! So keep being as nutty and free and funny as you are, ShartyMarty!
She could be a great character actor. So sweet.
I would have loved to have met this girl when I was 22, and I would have treasured her - she’s really great!
Find her now
You would have been sick of her by the time you were 25.
@latinboy906 No way. Who wants cookie cutter normal?? She is a keeper.
This girl is great!
@@saintadolf5639 its still a point, having her around most of the time could turn into being annoying. She clearly has massive ADHD.
Its one thing to like somebody, but its another thing to live and share your life with somebody.
Caught here is a perfect moment in time when all Martha's stars came down to twinkle together for us. May the passing of the years never fade her guiless essence poured forth.
I love your writing and your perspective…. I wish I could look at my own youthful self with even a smidgen of such appreciation and kindness but I know somewhere between my authentic self and keeping myself from making more waves I never intended… ugh I bought the hype of similar critiques to some here and now I am realizing that when I didn’t filter myself etc. my candor and authenticity served as a great way of repelling the people I wasn’t going to want to share any part of my existence with in the first place and I never really miss these unsolicited critics who were trying to smother my light under a bushel. ❤
@@RadioPsychicAstrologyByPepper Thanks for the kind reply, Pepper, and the little glimpse into something of your thoughtscape. Grace to you!

Dunno how this popped up in my feed, but 20 seconds in, and I'm in love. I need to fnd this woman now. I'm driving 6 hours to NY, and will drive around witrh my windows down yelling "Sharrrttyyy Maarrrtttyyy!!!" "Donde esta!! Donde esta!!! Donde estas chica!!!!"

She's got a great personality!
I love this woman! Beautiful AND quirky! Women don't get more lovely than this!❤😍
I freaking love this woman. I'd love to find a genuine soul like her!!!❤
Great interview. This should be a great 'time capsule' interview in 50 years as an example of how young women were (spoke, thought, felt) in the early 2020's in NYC. I imagine people 50 years in the future will absolutely love this.
Yesss
She is just… something else😂
The way she says at the end, "My name's Martha." and then just allows that to sink in. That was great. She is funny.
Sharty Marty is very Expressive, with her eyes and facial expressions.
Love how She Gives a Show at the End.
I think we would all like to have someone like her in our lives, as a friend or a lover. Simply because, she's so genuine and open. People like this are indeed rare. Best of luck to her!
Her mind meanders worse than the Sacramento River.
You really liked her didn't you 😂
She's definitely the funniest girl. I need her as my best friend asap.
she 22 and more genuine than 95% of the female population
The part where she said "I made myself available to everyone, but now I'm like .. F-you", really hit home for me. I'm always saying yes to everything.
Learning a lot from this girl !
Being overly inclined to “be there” for others-especially if it’s costly to yourself (& what you need to do) could be a trauma response. (*please note, I said “might be,” and not “100% always is)
@@miahconnell23 it could also just be ADHD. Which comes with a lot more issues. (I have ADHD)
@@DarkGloComics any radical changes with meds ?
I pray dearly that if you are on the fence and you do decide to take them-that you are the rare one to have 100% symptom suppression.
@@DarkGloComics Thank you for your candor & willingness to share. I’m going to look for a chemical testing lab because I had BRILLIANT success with ADHD meds fixing my “non-24 never ever ever could sleep-cycle the way most ppl do” PLUS I started getting tasks DONE (not soley creating “to do” lists on random junk-mail envelopes).
