- In this tutorial video I'll show you how to crochet the shell ripple stitch pattern, which you can use for a blanket as well as clothing items.
Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. The crochet shell ripple stitch pattern consists primarily of single crochet and double crochet stitches that form standard shell stitches in crochet. The chevron look is created by changing colors every two rows.
For my sample I'm using 100% acrylic worsted weight yarn and a size H 5 mm crochet hook. Feel free to use whatever hook and yarn size you prefer, as this pattern works with pretty much anything!

It's on my Naztazia website under crochet shell ripple.
Row 3. It looked like you made a chain and then went back into the same hole and made 2 chains. Have watched over and over but cannot see 3 chains for a double. It was not stated and went right into the single crochet from what I can remember. Can you please tell me how you did the turn around to begin the 3rd row?
Row 3 starts off at 04:13 in the video. It's a chain 1, turn, and make a single crochet in the very first stitch. Then in the next single crochet, that's where the 9 DCs are made. No starting chain 3 on Row 3 because the first stitch is a single crochet, and not a double crochet. Hence why it's just a turning chain 1.
Do u have a written pattern. This was too fast for me.
