- Welcome to part 8 of the Linocut printmaking tutorial series! This series is an introduction to linocut printmaking, from start to finish. In this video, we are going to print both blocks onto our paper, and then go over signing and numbering the prints!
In this series, I'm trying to cover linocut printmaking for folks with and without access to a press. Not having a full print studio should not be a reason to skip printmaking! You can simply print by hand using a spoon, Baren, or any other smooth object!

I’m an art student and printmaking class was full and I was sooo interested in getting into it so I’ve been teaching myself at home in the mean time. This was super informative and just what I was looking for, thank you so much!!
Thank you so much for sharing all your tips. Excellent video.
What a beautiful print from simple beginnings. Fantastic video series.
This has been a super-useful series for me. Thank you!
Omg...thank you for sharing all these process and infos...so valuable for a self taught and beginners like me
Thank you for sharing - extremely helpful!
I've been wanting to get into lino printing, this is so informative. Thank you!
Awesome! Thanks for checking it out!
Wonderful tutorial , Thank you ❤️
Would you consider doing a mezzotint series? I'd love to see someone with your skills and clear presentation style walk through that process.
Really helpful. Thank you.
Thank You!!!!
Hi Graham, great series! Would you mind sharing the brand of the "mechanical eraser" thing you are using in the corrections section? I draw a lot, and that looks like something I would like to investigate further. Thanks!
How do you get the colours to match up so perfectly? I've been having trouble with accuracy as well as ink application. Either I put on too much or too little.. there's no in between!
Thanks for the great videos. What make is your press please?
New to your channel. I will check it out further. Great instructor! Can you recommend a quality and affordable printing press. What is model and price of press used in this video as well. Thank you.
Great info....what paper are you using ?
Thank you so much for this series! I have a question about the signature. I also do watercolor but my signature on them is more in block letters than my normal (cheque) signature. Which should I use for my prints? Thanks!
This super random, but I hope you can help me. Have you done wood engraving? I’m starting to do this, but I don’t know where to get my wood block. I already got resingrave and cherry plywood.
Sorry, I've not done any engraving on wood, only Resingrave, so I have no idea where to get endgrain blocks. You could reach out to McClains printmaking, I'm sure they could point you in the right direction!
Are you using oil based or water based inks?
I used oil based ink for this one. I've had good success with water based as well.
What if you don't have the press?
