In the original you can't really hear all of the words to the song. In this version I can hear every syllable and I see how beautiful of a song it is. It reminds me so much of the core basis of Lily and Marshall's relationship as well as Tracy and Ted's. I honestly like this version better, but I'm still in love with the upbeat original song. I can't get this version out of my head and I really wished the creators of HIMYM had used this version in the last episode because it is so beautiful and shows what the show is really about.

Am I the only one who really prefers the original. Seriously, this version makes Love sound sad. The original makes it sound like you're going to get pumped as you go find love instead.
That's very true but there's also a special kind of sincerity and romance that I didn't find as apparent with the original (which is, let's face it, fucking fantastic).
I think that both versions are great. It all depends on the individual listening. They might be in a great place or a very unhappy one when they hear it. Feeling up and excited about being in love would appeal to people in a great relationship. Feeling sad and really depressed over losing love would have appeal for this version. Both misery and joy love company I guess.

Someone should make a short film about two people who fall in love and the original version of this becomes their song and they like sing and dance to it all the time and stuff and then as they grow old one of them starts to get sick and as she is dying, he sits by her bedside and sings this version until she falls asleep for the last time

So glad I found this song - I was doing some sports research and remembered this song from last year's Super Bowl Bud commercial - well done - song made my Day!
Am I the only one who really prefers the original. Seriously, this version makes Love sound sad. The original makes it sound like you're going to get pumped as you go find love instead.
That's very true but there's also a special kind of sincerity and romance that I didn't find as apparent with the original (which is, let's face it, fucking fantastic).
I think that both versions are great. It all depends on the individual listening. They might be in a great place or a very unhappy one when they hear it. Feeling up and excited about being in love would appeal to people in a great relationship. Feeling sad and really depressed over losing love would have appeal for this version. Both misery and joy love company I guess.
