Great review as always. I think you will find that none of the Lucid models have air spring type suspension. In previous Lucid company videos, the designers implied they preferred the sportier more connected feel that well tuned steel coil springs provide.
This point was covered in great detail both in this episode as well as our Grand Touring episode. In fact, we have an upcoming episode with the man running their driving dynamics, David Lickfold, where he shares A LOT of insight on this topic and how they tuned the car. HINT: The inspiration was fascinating.
The Pure and Touring are so much more comfortable in the back seat without your knees ready for blast off. I had a Pure on reserve and test drove a Touring. Such a nice car. Unfortunately, the charging network lets this car down. And the onboard charger doesn't work well with the Tesla Supercharger stations that have the magic dock.

There's a Lucid Studio near me, but I have yet to see an Air on the road. Lucid recently laid off 1300 employees, which is a lot for such a small company. It would be interesting to hear what's really happening inside this company.
If the Saudi trust keeps the company solvent while they improve charging capabilities and expand dealer network this will solve biggest issue, fear of failure and when that happens and if the they build one around 60,000 the volume will explode! Beautiful and sleek, striking and classy. has all the tools! Thanks for your expert review, best of the best!!
Apple Car Play support is there and been there for a month now. I am surprised they gave you car without Apple CarPlay support. I’ve been using it on my Touring since last 1 month and it works great!
In what way is this suspension unsophisticated? Double wishbone front, multi link rear... Or are you saying that in comparison to the air ride in the more expensive vehicle (which is my guess)?
Can you please explain to your audience why bigger wheels lower range? I understand why a wider tire would lower range, but how does a bigger wheel impact rolling resistance / some other metric?
10:00 - that moment when Motoman (in an over powered vehicle) almost drives himself off the edge of that cliff. fortunately not this video, but perhaps the next one. wait for it... wait - for - it.
I was so excited about the Lucid - now it's kind - de-magified if this is a word? in English? Lucid will never run out of money, they are backed and owned by Saudi Oil money, means they are in a very comfortable position to fix their short comings especially in the area of software.
You should start your videos with the price range in the first minute so I know whether to continue watching or not. 20k difference doesn’t mean anything once you’re already paying over 100k for a car.
I just test drove a loaded 2024 Air Touring last Sunday and it was awesome. They lowered the prices again, and a nicely equipped Air Touring is now under $100K. I can't wait to get mine next summer.
Great designs, good quality, horrible dealerships. Seems they have used the stereotypical “used car salesman” model for dealership training. He mentions that it takes time to build a brand. But Lexus, infinity, Acura did it correctly out of the gate. It’s going to take a serious effort for them to overcome the bad rap they are getting (well deserved) for the dealership experience.

An interesting beast for sure. More affordable version would make it more relevant to a larger wider

I got the Apple Carplay update in my Air GT a couple weeks ago. Driving the Lucid for the last year has been a joy.
That squeaky steering wheel would drive me crazy.
What’s with the squeaks coming from the Steering or is it the seats?

I finally got to drive the car. Way better than model S! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 I want one so I’ll be selling my model 3🥊
Which Lucid Model did you drive?
I really like the looks of these. Unfortunately they seem to drop in value quite quickly. Hoping that Lucid is around for the long haul.
They are in their early days. Hope this would be solved and hold its price 🙏

Yes Lucid is in trouble. They have a billion dollars worth of inventory unsold. The price point is too high to be a large player in the EV game.

Glad that I prefer the Lucid UX anyway.
