I am beyond happy to have found this video / you actually created a video that went beyond my expectations because showing mistakes are crucial for us DIY guys...especially me. Thank You Thank You Thank You... I never did this and plan on doing this soon. I have to replace the AOS in my 2006 997.1
I believe it is possible to replace the AOS in the 997 without dropping the engine. Check around on RUclips . I saw a video on this ( though it’s a bit tricky, it beats dropping the engine).
Hey thanks for the video! 👍🏼 I’m planning to drop my 997.1 C2S engine this weekend. (Also a blue cabriolet) I’ve been struggling with some bits, like the ac compressor, but I’m nearly there, hopefully I’ll drop on Sunday. Thanks for the inspiration 👍🏼 I can’t wait to see your tear down and rebuild videos.
you prolly dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all the new movies on Instaflixxer. Have been watching with my girlfriend lately :)

Glad to help make dumb mistakes for you. 997 engine content was hard to find on here so I figured I'd share.

It is. Yes. Set aside a few hours but it can be done.
Great video. Thank you sir.
Nice work, especially on the jacks they need to be high rise to get that body up and out of the way :)
Thanks! Yea plus some strategic 2x4's.

Nice! That's the best color (obviously) lol. That ac bolt in the back is the worst. I had to use a bore scope camera. Such a pain. GL man!

@Ayaan Alvin yup, been watching on InstaFlixxer for since december myself :D
Thanks, that is very interesting! How many hours do you think it took you overall to prepare for removal and actually removing the engine?
The instructions say 8 hours. I could do it now in that time with a lift, but first time,no lift, it was probably 20 hours.
