As a guy who’s just been reccomended this video, can I just say I’m impressed with this video and nobody has done a video regarding 997. All I ever found was videos for 996 so this series will be great but I was a bit shocked when I went through your channel thinking this was all Porsche related to find it’s a BMW channel 🤨 I own a 997 which is bore scored and needs repair and this channel will sure be a great help. I have shared this video and saved the playlist as I’m sure a lot of us with 997 which there is a lot of us will use these videos going forward.
You now have a new subscriber specifically for Porsche 👍🏽

Wow got to say dean this is brilliantly detailed! Never owned a Porsche before but if I was to get one I know where to come now.
Have to say this is straight to the point and excellent. it’s a shame you don’t go back to detailed videos like this for BMW I’m sure you would get a lot of views if you focused on doing videos like this for BMW. It’s a shame you put this much detail in for the Porsche side really but never the less, it’s a great video and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

Thanks for taking the time to film! I have an assembly video series on my channel for the 997.1 engine, but I'm not the one that took it apart so it's very helpful to see where some of the auxiliaries go :)
Oh, and BTW, a lot of the bolts you remove that you say are 8mm are actually E-Torx size 10. An 8mm socket just happens to fit them, but best to use the proper socket.
