Nice to see a recent story about a Canadian legend, forgotten by many. Prizm, Queen City Kids, Toronto, Orphan, April Wine, Trooper to name a few. I know, everyone is asking "What about Rush, Triumph etc.? Everyone hears and remembers the big acts..."

I''ve known Ron's family since we were kids. His nephew, Jesse Dryfhout, was equally talented and was in the band Stabilo. Horrible tragedy for his family, especially at this time of year. I'll never forget it.

I have a hard time really believing what really truly happened to him on that fateful night? I met Ron and partied with him and the band in Edmonton a long time ago. Super nice person. Do you or the family not believe the VPD laid a beating into him while in custody? I really think they did. What are your thoughts?

I worked for the American record label (Ariola) that distributed and promoted Prism. Spent a lot of time with the band while they toured and Ron was always great to work with and always ready for whatever was next. Such a terrible loss.

I was friends with Ron for over 12 years. Really enjoyed this video as it told the actual facts of what happened on that fateful night! I have visited Ron's resting place many times with many tears. Christmas changed for me forever when this tragedy happened. Ron will always be remembered and thought of on Christmas day by myself and all those who truly loved him.

I have a hard time believing the story as to what really happened to him? I think the Vancouver police laid a beating into him just like they did Myles Gray and many others and that led to the blood clot in his head and he eventually succumbed to his injuries. The VPD were known to do this kind of stuff back in the day and get away with it. I met Ron In Edmonton and partied with him. Super nice guy. I know a few of the Old Trooper band members and have run this scenario past the bassist whom I know. He agrees with me. What are your guys thoughts? Cheers.

What a cool band Prism! I went to Capitol Hill elementary school. Around 78-79 one of my friends lived "on Capitol Hill" in BBY B.C( a truly classy area) and her neighbor was no other then a Member of the Band Prism. She had somehow got a few of us to sit in on a practice in the house! lol JCVC! my first live experience of a real band! I had no idea how loud Amplified instruments could be as I only had Amplified headphones! (All my mother would allow lol thinking about it me too.😊)
They even had a cool deep discussion with us like they were seriously interested in what we had to say. I will never forget the band! That I first heard Live Rock & Roll from🤘🏼. Rip⚘ Ron Tabak.

Tell us more about.. what you’re thinking … my understanding is he was hit by the passenger side wide towing mirror of a white Ford Pickup.. and the vehicle took off likely drunk .. so …. left for dead …hit and run.

    Ron Tobak R.I.P.
    I'm thinking to myself:
Connected to double murder victim Dorothy Stratton. Cover Girl. 🤔
Dies suspiciously at Royal Columbian ....
Bicycle "accident" then taken to hospital. Altercation with police. Found unresponsive in jail. "Dies" in hospital.
Who's the friend in Kits that was EXPECTING him?
    🦝
