Though the summer tends to bring some of our most fun, playful and sometimes most relaxed looks there are absolutely ways to elevate your summer look if and when you want to.
Sometimes you don't need a new wardrobe. You just need a few pieces that can work well with what you have and that will help everything else, look better.
So today I thought we could go through a few pieces that you can add to your summer wardrobe to upgrade it, if you don’t own them already. While you can definitely wear some of these together, this is not a capsule wardrobe by any means. The beauty of this list is that You can take any of these items on their own and match them up with some of your most basic pieces and simplest outfits to zhuzh them up a bit and take them to the next level.

My favorite summer attire that has stood the test of time, dresses!!! So many colors and styles. And let’s not forget our large summer hats! You don’t have to be on an exotic island to wear a beautiful summer hat! I don’t mind dressing for the Kentucky derby while having lunch on the patio at home or a near by bristo. I've been trying to incorporate heels in my style, but walking in heels is super scary. So I've been investing in low block heels. They're more stable and I've more confidence.
A hat is a given for me in summer and at times year round. I get burnt just thinking of the sun 😂😂😂

I’ve bought this amazing basket bag for summer but the leather handle straps I’ve realised are cheap and will start to peel away. Does anyone have any hacks for this? How would someone who can't wear heels or cute sandals dress feminine? I can only wear sneakers or arch support shoes due to having tendinitis.

Wearing stiletto heels on grass will take you from a babe to a try-hard SO FAST! I typically stay away from block heels because they don't flatter my figure as well as a stiletto style would. However, with parties and picnics on grassy Lawns, I might just have to invest in these! There's nothing worse than trying to keep your composure while your cute heels are sinking into the grass with every step. Or having to be high maintenance and ask your friends if you guys can stay on the pavement instead... Smh. Block heeled sandals are a must! 😂😂
