For anyone wondering, he right-clicked at 3:45 to select. This is super helpful in the MIDI editor as well. Great video - I wish I had learned this all the very first day I started using Reaper!
Thanks. I’m an elderly noob utterly overwhelmed with this new stuff and really appreciate your tutorials on absolute basis. It’s been forty years since I was in a WEA recording studio and the world has changed so much since then. But now I’m retired I’m returning to my one true love - making music. Thanks again from the old guy ❤️
I know this is an older vid, but though I know Live super well, and am pretty handy with Reason as well, those are more "elctronic" kits. So I'm learning Reaper since it's stable and cheap for more guitar/bass oriented stuff, and I'm a noob for sure. This viddy is in a special category for youboobers, CLEAR AND TO THE POINT ;) I really appreciate that.
Thank you for this. I found it helpful. Typed up the info and printed it, so it'll have it handy when in Reaper. (I always think "I got it, I'll remember that" when someone shows me something, but later, alone, I forget and have to look up the info again.
Thanks for the feedback! I’m still working out the kinks in the sound of my videos. The idea is quick setup while minimizing the need to align a bunch of different files in post. It’ll take some experimenting but I’ll find the magic combo eventually!
This is great! On point explanation, no bullshit, most important ones covered. Would be great to see a part 2 with more usefull hotkeys. But for once: thanks for the quality content!
It sure is! Also while we're talking numbers, the up and down arrows on the number pad (8 and 2) to move waveforms up or down on your tracks without messing up their position on the timeline!

Thank you so much for the kind words! Best of luck in your music making endeavours!
I'm right there with you. Prior to REAPER my last 'studio' experience was with a Tascam Porta 2. That's OLD school. Lol !!!
Awesome thanks for this

Nice one! Number keys to take you to markers on the timeline is a handy one. \m/

Great video, very informative. I would prefer it without the music soundtrack, i found it distracting
You had me at Ctrl s and then you lost me at Ctrl Zed. :( ;)
