I grew up with The Beach Boy's music & had a lot of their records. Brian Wilson was the genius songwriter of the group. They span many decades but I love their early stuff from the 60's-70's. Their music conveys such happy innocent days of youth (surfing, cars, romance). They had tons of hits such as "Surfin' U.S.A.", "Surfin' Safari", "I Get Around", "California Girls", "Help Me, Rhonda", "Heroes & Villains", "Sloop John B.", "Fun Fun Fun", "Little Deuce Coupe", "God Only Knows", "In My Room" etc.
Brian Wilson. A Musical genius mental health drove him to his bed for years his kids are stars themselves Brian somewhat recovered Beach Boys became a summer attraction every year but they're pretty old now In hindsight it ended with Pet Sounds Lots of good tunes waiting to be discovered
Growing up will these guys, the Bee Gees, the Mamas and the Papas(check them out too). We had so many good love songs, and songs you could dance to. I've been enjoying watching you get so excited or emotional over music so near and dear to me. Hearing it again really takes me back! Wish all the young ones out there would give it a go!😊
These guys would be in my top five of all-time. The sheer volume of outstanding songs (that they have) is up there with the likes of ABBA & the Bee Gees. “I Can Hear Music” is also a great song. The harmonies are insane. ✌️
I was born in ‘83 but I absolutely LOVED The Beach Boys as a kid and I would roller skate around my room listening to their cassette tapes 😄😆 Ah, I miss those days 😊. Edit: Oh, and they used to appear on the TV Show Full House. The actor John Stamos used to play with them occasionally in real life.
I've prob commented this before but you have to watch the movie called "Love and Mercy" (named after one of their songs). The actor, John Cusack plays the role of Brian Wilson so well. It tells the story of the Beach Boys (3 out of the 5 members were brothers). The movie is EXCELLENT! I watched it once and I had to buy the movie so I could keep watching it. You should also check out some documentaries on them. They were amazing!! Brian Wilson (with the high pitch voice) also has an INCREDIBLE solo career as well. 💜💜💜 Enjoy!!!
Adogg, you should check out the young Paul Rodgers with his first band, Free. There are at least two great live vids from 1971: the mega classic All Right Now, and Mr. Big. Like you, I can’t get enough of his voice and I’ve been listening to him for 50 years.
Notre Dame ACC, so long ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday, nobody was sitting down during this song!! They had a chain of dancers around the upper arena circling it all the way around, we had so much fun that night! Try Kokomo, another great Beach Boys song.
