- Après 7 ans d'économie et 22 mois d'attente, voici ma Jackson Custom Shop !
Specs :
- Neck : Quartersawn 3 pieces hard rock maple (7 pieces on the Head), 25,5, speed profile, gun stock oil, graphite reinforcement.
- Body : Mahogany with Maple top. Extrem V shape, black with Philly Red bevels.
- Fingerboard : Dark Ebony, pearl Sharkfin inlay, 24 stainless steel jumbo frets, white binding, luminlay.
- Pickup : Seymour Duncan Blackout black Chrome finish.
- Hardware : Original Floyd Rose with upgrades, Schaller M6 Locking Pin Type, straplock Dunlop Flush mount, 1 volume, 1 toogle
- G&G Case

As much as I would absolutely love a custom shop Jackson I don't think I could ever enjoy playing it. I would be so worried about any little scratch or wear that I couldn't just use it and have fun.

Korneo54 I have found that I'm most happy with guitars around the $1000 price point. They cost enough to get a pretty nice playing guitar but if something happens to it, it's not the end of the world. I currently own a Jackson Rhoads Pro. I have owned some more expensive guitars but that one has always been my favorite.

+Javiercito El Crack Pablo Santana don't work anymore with Jackson ;-). I don't remember which one is it but this guitar is a Masterworks and they're only 3 to made the Masterworks one
An Extreme King V with the Pablo Santana style letters on the headstock, reverse head with a cutout, neck thru with an Oiled Speed Neck, Custom Seymour Duncan Blackouts, extreme "Razor" Sharkfins, Ebony Board, Alder Body, and a Flame Maple Top with a Trans Bing Cherry Color would be awesome. Je ne pensais pas que cetait aussi long ! Lorsque tu commande tu as un mec au telephone avec qui tu échange ou cest juste sur leur site ?
Tu es obligé de passer par un revendeur local avec qui tu discute.
Puis, lui envois ta demande a Jackson et tu peux poser les questions de ton choix, tu aura toujours une réponse soit du revendeur, soit de Jackson directement.
Si tu prends une Custom Sélect (modèle de série peu modifié), tu attends entre 4 et 6 mois.
Si tu prends du Masterbuild (ce que j'ai pris), comme ils ne sont que trois à faire les grattes d'exceptions pour le monde entier (stars incluses), tu attends entre 18 et 36 mois
Dac, merci. La gratte est superbe en tout cas, et après tant d'attente je comprends ton émerveillement dans la video ^^ Durant les 2 ans on te disait où en était la fabrication ? J'imagine que la guitare en elle même est faite en moins d'un mois, du coup il t'on dit quand ils commencaient de la fabriquer ?
On sent vraiment une grosse différence avec les modèles USA de série ?
Une fois le premier paiement envoyé, tu es mis en file d'attente pour la construction.
Puis plus rien, aucune nouvelle.
Dans mon cas, elle était complètement payée et un jour, hop on m'annonce qu'elle est finie.
Mais elle a eu des soucis et a eu droit à un retour chez Jackson et est quand même arrivée avec des soucis...
La différence entre une USA et une Masterbuild est difficile à expliquer.
Les USA sont vraiment bonne déjà, mais les MB sont encore un cran au dessus a tous les niveaux.
Pour faire une analogie, c'est comme si tu passais d'une BMW série 5 à une série 7.
La 5 est excellente, mais la 7 est la même mais avec tout un bon cran au dessus qui fait que tu ne t'en passe plus.

Yeah I know what you mean. Also it seems Jackson increased their prices. I looked through their order form and for some specs you now have to pay a " master built" fee. But I guess that's the price for a one of a kind guitar. Thought I don't think I would gig with it in fear something could happen to the guitar.

Non, pas de peinture au dos du manche et du coup, ça glisse et est doux à l'extrême.
J'en ai joué beaucoup mais n'ai jamais trouvé la config de mes rêves, d'où la custom shop.
22 mois, c'est très long, vraiment. Mais si tu rajoute les 7 ans d'économies, ça va on va dire.
Et c'est la meilleure guitare que je n'ai jamais joué.
La plus clair, dynamique et "warm". Ca n'a vraiment rien a voir avec une guitare de série.
Korneo54 Merci de ta réponse.Je vois que tu en es ravi.J'ai une Jackson dk2m (la nouvelle), j'aimerai m'acheter une Jackson SL2 mais j'ai trouvé le manche trop épais en venant de la Jackson dk2m.Si j'essaye de me forcer je ne sais pas si ça ira.Ma finalité serait d'avoir une jacksonSL2H mais la peinture sur le dos du manche me rebute totalement.On est bien d'accord, la peinture au dos du manche c'est beau, mais ça glisse moins que sur un manche en bois vernis ?Etrangement les SL2Q européennes n'ont pas de peinture au dos du manche, ça aurait vraiment été l'idéeal pour moi.Un manche tel que tu as dans ta vidéo me plairait bien.Je pensais que c'était une Usa select car sur jacksonguitar il y en a une exactement pareil.
Silver 91 Celle que tu a vu est une signature Corey Beaulieu de Trivium, ce n'est pas le même design ;-). La mienne est une masterbuilt, c'est la crème de la crème fait pa les luthiers historiques de la marque (les mêmes qui font celle des stars depuis toujours).
Pour la peinture, oui ça glisse moins, mais ce n'est pas pour ça que ça glisse mal ! Ce n'est pas une ltd ou une cort à 200€. Et un manche non peint peux recevoir un vernis qui accroche, j'ai d'autre guitare qui ont ça. Là ça a été minutieusement poncé à la main puis quelques couches de Tung Oil.
Korneo54 Tu penses qu'avec une SL2H, je vais regretter à cause du manche peint ?La SL2 tu l'as déjà essayé ? C'est une des prochaines que je vise, je la mettrai en Ré je pense.

christophe771000 Déjà, elle est personnalisée. Les vernis ne sont pas les mêmes, le rendu est plus dynamique d'après pas mal de monde.
Et surtout, les bois sont de la meilleure qualité possible et tout est fait a la main

christophe771000 Je ne donne pas de prix mais Oui, c'est plus cher qu'un modèle USA (qui est hors de prix en Europe).
Je suis passé par mon revendeur local a qui j'ai donné mes specs, puis il a fait des aller et retour avec Jackson pour que ça soit parfait

Does it have certificate of autenticity?
The box came without it but Jackson confirm the authenticity of it and everything

Ask to your local dealer and they gives you the "real" price and waiting time.
Mine was 2 years because it's a masterworks one, if your one is more "standard" guitar, it can be a custom select and you wait only 6 month
