1:27 Gotta love Gary Cohen, if you showed this clip to someone who doesn't follow baseball or know the commentators you'd think he was either completely neutral or rooting for the Padres here
I'm a Dodgers fan. I was actually there that night. In addition to thousands of Dodger fans being scattered all over Angel Stadium, there was a section of about 3,000 Dodger fans sitting together in right field.
aaahh the experience of dealing with a closer that constantly gives the fanbase heart attacks, unfortunately as a Phillies fan i know the feeling AAALLLL to well.
Observations: 1. All were likely blown saves. In the old days, a starter might still be in in the 9th, but that's rare today. If any of these were tying grand slams, meaning pitcher's team was up by 4, then it likely wasn't a save situation. Also, if the pitcher had come in and let other runs in earlier in the 9th, it may also not have been a save situation. 2. I wonder how many of the teams who hit those 9th inning homers went on to win the game, especially the ones who only tied the score. And how many teams who hit go-ahead homers still ended up losing?
Mets announcer had a good call. Pittsburgh announcer did well. And the Giants announcer gave the ole college try… (tbh I hear he’s a dry humor kinda guy so you shouldnt expect much more in terms of excitement). Angels guy did alright.
Its interesting, you can tell how good announcers are in this situation. The good announcers keep the enthusiasm and emphasis up when their team gives up the big bomb, because they love the game and, while they're pro their side, they're not going to go limp when something fucking impressive and huge is happening on screen. Don't get me wrong, I get not being as enthused by it as when the positions are reversed, but you've got to at least try to match the energy of the play!
Nearly every team has one, so what you should’ve done is ordered the highlights so that the team that hit the home run was the team giving up the home run in the following clip. Would’ve been a nice touch.
There was a close call on a check swing the pitch before that would have been strike 3 to end the game. He was going off on the umpire that made questionable call.
This would be a very long list. But for the first clip, the Diamondbacks were able to win in the 11th inning 9-7. For the second clip, the Indians lost after Miguel Sano hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 9th. I would be here all day to type all this so I’ll have to stop here.
What's missing is this: ruclips.net/video/AX5Gd_gdGVA/видео.html 2 out, 2 strikes. Player's 2nd career HR (out of a total 7). This is the home team's announcer though.
I don't get it. The title seems to imply that we would hear the same home run called by each of the teams respective play-by-play announcers. But that doesn't seem to be the case. What am I missing here?
Oh wait, I think i understand now. You're only playing the announcers of the team giving up the home run, is that it? I would think there may be a better way to word that still. Regardless it's been entertaining.
Ryan Braun hit a grand slam in the top of the 9th on a 3-2 count with 2 outs against the Cardinals in 2019 which gave the Brewers the lead. I would’ve loved to see that one on this video.
Even when you make a great pitch, are you still going to say you had one job? I hate you armchair generals, "I can do that " you probably couldn't tie your own shoes. You'd give up a homer on 1 pitch, then id say you suck, you need to be demoted to the minors. Shut up
Good to see the king of niche baseball content still cooking
Andrew Vargha walked so this guy could run
Showing Matt Barnes three times in a row was pretty cold.
Now on my National
Nevermind
Man I miss Prince Fielder's homerun swing
The last clip of Jake cave raging is the funniest thing ever 🤣🤣🤣
What was that all about? Who was he yelling at? 😂🤣
The umpire 😭😭😭
it’s so funny always hearing duane kuiper call a devastating homer against the giants like he would a regular home run on mvp baseball 05
1:27 Gotta love Gary Cohen, if you showed this clip to someone who doesn't follow baseball or know the commentators you'd think he was either completely neutral or rooting for the Padres here
you absolutely can tell hes the mets announcer
I was thinking the clip right after at 1:43 was more convincing than that one.
you should make a vid like this comparing the home vs away announcer, and the different energy they have 😂
When the title said "opposing," that's what I thought it meant at first.
1:07 Uh-oh.
0:20 that is not good folks...not good at all
Did Texas win that game?
@@Lewis.Linnchannel How am I supposed to know?

After watching Jake burger do this to the white Sox yesterday, it feels good to watch it happen to every team 😂
7:26 Miguel Rojas fighting child abuse, how admirable
Love seein' my boy Matt Weiters show up on here
What's even crazier to see is the final strike left or full count ones. That's really got to hurt.
8:28 the clearest "f*ck" i've ever heard on a broadcast before
I had to listen to it a couple of times and then realized it was a fan that said it. I was thinking the announcers. 😂
7:13 Hicks would go on to make his signature superman diving catch later in that game to seal it.
One of the best games I've ever seen in my life.
99 overall Hicks showed up that game. I went through every emotion I could that night.
They took an L.
I find it hard to believe that Hicks is in 2 of these...batting right handed
@@greatestnitemare6626who Yankees didn't they win I'm twins fan and was swearing at TV but I will say the best regular season game I ever witnessed

That Prince Fielder swing is priceless
What’s missing is Yoshida’s game tying two run homer against the Yankees
Yep
Khris Davis Oakland A’s legend
He got hurt running into a wall when he shouldn't even have been on defense, but before that he was a king. always gonna be an Oakland fave
Make more of these please! There’s got to be some from older seasons haha
More of these, please.
1:17 now JB is the tigers commentator lol

0:40 “Happy Birthday Matt Wieters!” - The great Gary Thorne
The Diamondbacks, Rockies, Marlins, Twins and Tigers had so many lmao
Literally yesterday the Braves hit a 2 run hr to tie the game in the top of the 9th against the Dbacks
💀
It seems like the majority of these are just absolute no doubters too lol
forgot Cade Marlowe's grand slam against the Angels with 2 outs in the 9th last year
Sucks that Postseason Homers don't count on this video. Alverez' WS GM 6 flipper was LEGEND---ARY!!
Cool concept for a video! Small suggestion, it might be a better watch if you let the clips breathe a little more. The cuts feel a little fast.
Biggest homer announcers- phillies, dbacks, twins
Least- mets, marlins, braves
You can almost hear them hitting their parley
Why are the Giants on here so much? 😭
Astros too
Giants bullpen was ass during the time of most these clips
Could be a Dodgers fan put this together? I noticed at least a couple clips of Dodgers hitting HR's.
from a giants fan here ikr
I'm a Giants fan and I'll admit that it's because we're frauds. We're a terrible organization full of roids filled cheaters and losers. Also, I'm gay.
0:13.
Bro that sounded like it was hit with a metal bat 😳
Brandon Phillips hit one for the Braves and hit one against the Braves.

So pretty much A closers blowing saves compilation.
Jose Abreu hit a two-run go-ahead homer against the Red Sox in 2019 and I've been trying to find the home commentary ever since.
1:13 remember that like it was yesterday. Odor hits the HR to win it

Ima be honest I get your team gave up the win but they could be more exciting and be little less bias your job is to be a announcer not a cheerleader
There wasn't opposing announcers
He should have said it better, but he meant the announcer of the opposing team (i.e. the team that gave up the homer) only.
isnt it amazing how many HRs RPs give up in the late games,, its like wow one job, especially when its 1 out away from being over
