Observations: 1. All were likely blown saves. In the old days, a starter might still be in in the 9th, but that's rare today. If any of these were tying grand slams, meaning pitcher's team was up by 4, then it likely wasn't a save situation. Also, if the pitcher had come in and let other runs in earlier in the 9th, it may also not have been a save situation.
    2. I wonder how many of the teams who hit those 9th inning homers went on to win the game, especially the ones who only tied the score. And how many teams who hit go-ahead homers still ended up losing?

Its interesting, you can tell how good announcers are in this situation. The good announcers keep the enthusiasm and emphasis up when their team gives up the big bomb, because they love the game and, while they're pro their side, they're not going to go limp when something fucking impressive and huge is happening on screen.
Don't get me wrong, I get not being as enthused by it as when the positions are reversed, but you've got to at least try to match the energy of the play!
