When going to a masjid for getting married does it need to be salafi or is it permissible to get married through a masjid that marries people as long as they do it according to the sunnah?
What if is someone have only a brother alive, and he is not interested in acting as Wali(not because he disagree with marriage but Bcoz of lose of contact from childhood to adulthood ) and the rest of the mahrameen are not alive. Can a far cousin from paternal side act as a Wali?
Yes, the brother could
a) designate the next closest relative and ask for updates
b) designate the next closest relative and say I'm out from here
c) designate an Imām or trustworthy brother
d) refuse to act and state this openly (witnessed by sound witnesses, even recorded) and the sister can find a wakīl
e) abandon any contact, in which case the wakīl selected should try to reach out to him and enquire about his status in this issue
A distant cousin doesn't have any particular status.
It's quite sad if he wouldn't want to help his sister, distant or not and quite irresponsible. Allah's aid is sufficient.

Wa ʿalaykum al-Salām wa-Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh, There's more detail needed, not being in contact with them doesn't cancel out rights (automatically). As with all of these situations, they are unique cases that need individual analysis by a person of knowledge.
@@troidorgSalam Aleykoum, Barak'Allah oufik for your answer. This is my situation and I really need help to have answers. I am 33 years old, never married, I want to get married but the fact is that I grew up with my mother family, they raised me. I haven't seen my dad since my 15 years old, at the time he remarried and had boys, but he doesn't have brothers or Dad, and I don't know his uncles if he has uncles from his dad side. And when I said I am not in contact, it's that I don't know where he lives, no telephone number nothing and same for his family. And when the last time I saw him, he wasn't practicing, no salat, I am not sure about Ramadan and he used to drink alcohol before. But today I have no idea about his life, or his family life or anything about anybody in his family. I didn't receive care from him, and my mother and my dad didn't get along with each other. He's completely out of my life...
