Even without the load and go. For those who just can't afford it.. you can lift the deck very easy with a chain and still use those awesome Mudd's custom brackets
You can even just lift the backside up on the ground, get the brackets in, and then lift the deck up on to its wheels…More physical labor but possible.
Allot of people do need them. Speaking for myself once I took my deck off it was to heavy for me to just muscle it around. With the load and go it made it easy to pick it up and move it to the back of the barn
No one saying they aren't heavy. We're saying there are other ways to move them around with the bucket that doesn't require expensive load and gos. Straps are cheap. All it requires is an extra trip off the tractor to hook them on.
With deck in vertical position take vent plug out install male/ female 90° elbow pointing straight up reinstall vent, should now raise vent sufficiently
I like these product videos, I believe you give honest facts, explanations and reviews, as well as videoing of the product for all us to see. Thank you for these types of posts.
I have a 2016 1025R with a 54 inch deck. Deere doesn’t make a Load and Go for that deck. I made up my own brackets to pick up the deck with the loader. Absolutely a useful way to work with that 200 pound mower deck.
I bought the load and go after seeing it on your RUclips channel , I do not regret it at all, it makes moving and maintenance on the mower deck so easy. May have to look into the mower deck stand now 👍🏻
I used my Mower deck when I was brush hogging dragging a tail cutter :-i) and when I turned it cut a path not leave so much grass not cut due to the off center turn of the brush cutter. So mowing with both can have great results. I back into tough spots and drive forward through grass letting both cut being easier on both.
A suggestion for those of with "CRS" (aka Can't Remember Stuff 😉) syndrome... If you replace the venting plug with a non-venting plug for storage, be sure to tag the plug in some way so that when you go to use the mower deck in the spring, you won't forget to swap the venting plug back in. Even just covering the plug with some masking or duck tape with a "REPLACE" note written on it should work.
I use straps to lift my deck. I think they are axle straps 24” long. And a couple shackles. There is two holes in the front middle of the deck and I have two chain hooks on the top of my bucket. Works great for changing blades and cleaning. Like the stands with casters. 👍
Love this solution. Was getting the Load-N-Go anyway. Using those stands you showed I can easily move the mower deck to a place I have on the side of the garage. Thank you!
I've used the Deck Dolly, Mudd Customs, and DeckAxles for deck stands for my JD 60D, 62C, and 54HC. The DD didn't really save me much space because it is about the size of a hand cart. I'd have to say that DeckAxles has the upper hand because of the lower cost and larger wheels. I have to roll my decks over a floor mat and the Mud Customs can't get over the lip of the mat. I don't have a load n' go so I have to lift the decks by hand.
I have a zero turn JD mower, so I don't have a mid-mount mower for my 1025R. But this was interesting to watch what is out there for people who do. It's always good to have option. Thanks for sharing Tim.
One thing I always do when I store my deck is unhook the spring for the deck belt tension. I use a zip tie to hold the spring so it doesn't get lost while loose.
I purchased the Mudd deckstand and it is great. I am getting to old to try lifting the deck with the other equipment. It also comes with a storage plug for the oil case.
Yup I bought the mudd customs style before it was their product, bought them raw and painted JD Yellow. My load and go needs to be grinded on the right hand side but havent gotten around to it.
I use a wheelchair for mobility so once I'm in my 1025r I don't get out until done. With load&go I can attach mower and remove from drivers seat. I mow about 1.5 acres of my property without issues. I just needed to make a handle to pull up on the release lever that can be reached from the cab.
Really wish this worked for my 54 inch deck for my riding mower. Or that I could find a picture of it before I was sold on it. Now I have to figure out how to store my deck and this thing now.
at 6:59, I wonder why they didn't put a hole on the wheel storage tube where you lock it in place with the pin. Seems like a freebie, and can prevent the wheel from falling out if you tip the deck past horizontal.
Storage wise my orange deck spends the winter in the shed. Fits under the back blade perfect doesn't take up any extra room. Moving wise I'm stuck using forks. That JD stow and Go sure looks like the " cats meow" :)
Just ordered the Deck Dolly, I hope it works as easy as you show, it will save my back some pain, provide safe and tight storage and make working on it a breeze, I hope anyway!
Tim, load and goes are awesome. I had watched your early video about them. So when I bought my 1023E I had the dealer order and put them on. The dealership had never seen them and was very impressed. They even painted them jd green to match tractor. Great video will have to check out the storage options. God Bless, keep videos coming.
These look like a decent cab, the price seems fair. wondering what the height is for my 2025 to fit in the garage. being in Maine, the heater would be a requirement. This video, was very helpfull, thanks
Hey Tim.. I've had the Deck Dolly for my 54D for a few years now. Been very pleased with the storage solution. It would be nice to have the Load n Go too to move the deck around easier. But with a 2014 1025R and 54D MMM deck, I understand the Load n Go does not apply (unless something has changed). Great video. Thanks for sharing!.
Still not available for 2032r/2038r with the 60d - just wonder why. Have already seen after market loading type brackets which I may look into. I purchased a deck dolly for a 54d deck and found it to be unusable for me. Poor mechanical advantage and the way it's designed seems to be for a taller person than me (I am 5'6"). Hasn't seen any use in years. Have my Tony stands on order. Good video Tim! Thanks.
Those decks look way to clean to have much use on them! Mine has paint rubbed off the top from belt vibration from day 1! Got 2 mowing season on it now and belt still seems fine, something I should be checking?
Thru email exchanges with Mudds, they have concluded their wheels will work with my 60HC deck from my X738. I took measurements and sent pictures. Not having load n go, I sling the deck before I back the tractor off. Then pick it up with pallet forks on another machine. Several steps but no hard labor and I do not have to get on the floor. I have considered the other system many times but it gets pricey when you add the double wheels and extra length handles. I wondered what the second set of pins were for on the Mudds brackets. Now I know. I am also considering brackets from Green Parts store for my 54 inch snow blower.
@@DougAlesUSA John Deere Snow Blower Storage Dollies - LP70692 I had trouble finding them again. Green Part Store lists them. I currently use furniture carts but that has its problems.
I’ve got the deck dolly. I’m 68. An old back injury is starting to bother me again. The lift from carry to storage position is the hardest. I wish I had opted for the longer handles and dual wheels but otherwise it has served me well for the past three years. I will be upgrading to the load n goes and those new castors to save my back…
Just bought a new 2024 1025R with a 60D deck and Load-n-go. They still have a problem with the tolerances between the Load-n-Go hook and pin, right side is too short on mine. I'll probably pull it and take it in to see if I can get one that fits.

If you're thinking about buying the 1025R with the 60D mower deck, note that the deck does not have the same warranty and only has one year- so one mowing season. John Deere does not stand behind their own workmanship issues and will not warranty the deck, even when it's proven to be factory flaws, and deck can get expensive to fix. Mine failed at under 70 hours.
The Load-n-go's are not compatible with the 60D for the 3R series or a 72" with a deck with the cab. I have a 3046R with the 60D deck and cab so I'm leaning towards the deck dolly.
Why does it say load and go will fit the earlier 72D like 2013 and earlier and 2017 and later but the 14-16 say it will not fit? Asking because I have a 2015 3033r and would love the load and goes.
I've got a 2020 1025R with the 60D and bought the deck dolly because of this video. I'm happy with the purchase but I will say that there are significant differences between the deck dolly you showed and mine for the 2020 model. And in general the changes make for much less ease of use.
Another great video! This is exactly the type of info I'm looking for. Ufortunately, looks like Mudds Customer does not offer stand for my MMM (72D). I'm definitely getting the load-n-go in the near future though!

Gee I would love to be able to use something like that for my deck. I have a Befco 3pt finish mower. It's pretty heavy at 600 lbs. It takes quite a big chunk of the available space in my shed. Sorry to hear about Martha. We have a really nice cat that ran out as the door was being closed. She had to have part of her tail removed. She doesn't know her nickname is Stubba Wubba now. She's a great pet and mouser too.
I have the Deck Dolly - works perfectly - but the mower deck gearbox leaked a puddle of oil on the ground. Is there anyway to stop that from happening? I imagine with this many people owning one there must be a way....
Yes. The vent can be removed and replaced with a 1/8” pipe plug. Of course, you need to reinstall the vent before you use the deck again. I think the vent may not be working properly if it is leaking like that…but not sure. Anyway, temporary replacement works fine.
@@TractorTimewithTim THANK YOU for such a prompt reply!!! I'm going to pick up a plug - hopefully soon. In the meantime I just laid the deck dolly and deck down on the ground.
John Deere does not make Load 'N Go attachments for the 60D deck on the 2032R or 2038R tractors. I received my 2038R in mid September after some painful order changes at the last minute. I had ordered the 60D deck with my 2038R and had ordered the Load 'N Go attachments. They were not compatible. John Deere says they have no plans on designing Load 'N Go for the 60D when used with the 2032R or 2038R because there are interference issues under the tractor with the linear actuator lift system, etc. Load 'N Go is only available for the 2032R and 2038R when used with a 72D deck.
Serious flaw on MUDD's deck storage solution: Crazy Wheels are too small diameter. Personally, I clean my deck 'OUTSIDE'.... and then install my vertical storage shafts and LARGE wheels from another prior Green Tractor Talk Sponsor/Merchant. I forget the name.... but their wheels are huge and they roll through grass and into my cement floor garage very easily...... Try rolling the MUDD'S deck wheels through your lawn..... good luck with that one. :-)
Went to Mudd Custom's website. Guess sales of the deck stands were really good. It now says, "SOLD OUT". There is no further information. Anyone else know if they are being sold elsewhere?
It is a shame that this (easy manipulation and storage) is not incorporated into all implements. I remember both of my grandparents stored everything outdoors, I could not tell which were functional and which were lawn ornaments. Often we were surprised when some of them got used because they were hard to get to with the tractor.
Hum, looks like a modified set of dollies adapted to hold the deck. I've started lifting my tractor w/ mower attached when I need to access the underside of the deck.
Issue I see with the Deck Dolly, and why I decided not to purchase it is: COST..... pricey solution...... and, the stand brackets stick way out from the deck, thus taking up extra floor space.... deck axles are the simpler, cost effective solution and take up the least floor space..... what happened to the Deck Axles vender on Green Tractor Talk ???? Love those deck/axle stands.
Even without the load and go. For those who just can't afford it.. you can lift the deck very easy with a chain and still use those awesome Mudd's custom brackets
Indeed. I wish folks would stop pushing Load and Gos as if they're required. I keep hearing the word "need" in places I shouldn't.

Tim, have you looked into storing the VENTRAC deck vertically ? Would your second option work?
Never even considered it. Interesting question!
Tim does the deck dolly work if you have the center anti-scalp wheels installed on the mower deck?
Dunno.
Tim will the Mudd stand work on a Deere 72 inch deck?
Yes…at least they work on mine.
You’ll need to refill the oil before mowing with it.
What’s going on with the turbo on the 1025r
Hope to have an update soon.
Man I hope one of these stands will work for my 72” deck
Yep. I’m using Tony’s originals on my 72” right now. Mudd’s will work beautifully! They are incredible!
Tim, how are your decks so clean?? Do you use them at all? 😁
Both new
Cheater! 😀
Wish there was a Load N Go solution for Kubota decks.
…oh my, that is a hanging curve ball comment… :-).
I’ll just avoid swinging :-)
Will the load and go work with a 60d deck for a 1025r with the bagger double pulley on the right hand side?
no. the load-n-go brackets are not compatible with the powerflow blower.
Correct! Not compatible with power flow.
I am under the impression that there is no load N go for the 2032r and 60 inch deck. I wish there was.
The jd deck stands are 12 weeks out right now on mudd customs. Do you know of a way for me to get a set sooner ?
Ugh. No, I do not. Have you emailed to find out the hold-up? Sounds like he might be waiting on supplies ...if it is TRULY 12 weeks out.
That’s what there website says when you try to order them. I will wait it out.
the JD deck stand you showed is not on the Mudd website
We gave up on Mudds. Go to heavyhit heavyhitch.com you’ll find it there. Use code ttwt for 5% off!
I really wish they made those brackets for 54d by mudds. Would buy immediately
Email him. I think he has deck stands for 54d
Doing it now
Serious flaw on MUDD's deck storage solution: Crazy Wheels are too small diameter. :-)
Hi Mr Tim , I’m wondering if anyone makes a dolly for a 4 ft rotary cutter . Thanks sir
I have not heard of one.
Went to Mudd Custom's website. Guess sales of the deck stands were really good. It now says, "SOLD OUT". There is no further information. Anyone else know if they are being sold elsewhere?
Email him. They may be available soon
Can you drive over the load and go
Yes you can.
Always put pins in on load and go. 72 deck is extremely heavy.
What is the price on the Deck Stands?
Muddscustoms.com
You really sucked me in with this video……new isotunes and deck brackets will be under my tree this year….dam you Tim!😂
2022 72D mower deck gear box no longer has a breather port
Interesting. I have a 22 72D. I’ll take a look.
