Robert, have you watched the show One Piece?
It follows the journey of a revolutionary hero- in a silly cartoon style. His journey is beyond mastery. The work is likely foreign propaganda aimed at destabilizing the west.

I feel like the biggest problem these days to achieve mastery is the decreasing attention span. Everyone knows a lot of stuff on a shallow level. But not many people know stuff on a deep level. Mastery is where the value is at!

Thank you Robert, for all the value you have provided to my life throughout the years. And that which you continue to! For all the talk of darkness, you are a light in it.
Edit: for anyone reading this, I'm 31 and two years ago I hit that wall Robert talks about where you realise you are totally disconnected from what you do. The advice I never got was to make sure you do something that truly speaks to you, and after what has been quite a journey since that realisation, I'm on the right path. I got Robert's book, The Daily Laws, as soon as it was released - about a week before I packed up my life to go figure things out. Talk about timing.
He is absolutely right. Don't wait to find out like I did. Money is the materialisation of what really matters, which is pursuing something in your life which truly aligns to the core of who you are.
And just to balance this hopefully not tedious comment out, having the ability to earn a baseline amount of money with a skill that's in demand is important - but I thought it was everything, and it's not. It's just your safety net that allows you to pursue what calls you in life.

I have a great book to suggest to you and the audience. The name is "wings of Fire". It is a biography of one of the great master from my country, a genius rocket scientist who went on to became President of country and died while teaching students... A sage amongst sages yet a fierce passionate man who loved science.. His name is Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, former president of India. One point i would like to mention is the book explains his "masculine and feminine" a sort of composite style of leadership that he learned from his mentor professor Vikram Sarabhai, and how he used it to create rockets, accident with sodium payloads, beurocracy and how he lead them..... A very very thin book yet a great read.... Please read it Mr. Greene, you will definitely love the journey of reading it

One story in the book: when Dr. Kalam visited Goddard space research lab in USA, he saw a painting in the lobby. When observed carefully he noticed black men fighting using missiles and rockets on battlefield. He was curious. When he asked about the painting he got to learn that the painting depicted worlds first ever missile defense used by indian revolutionary king Tipu Sultan against British Army during colonial rule.
It took India more than 100 years to revive the dormant technology and use it again to use it into satellite technology. All thanks to Dr. Kalam's and teams remarkable work.
All of this is mentioned in second chapter of the book

You need focus to calculate the time you have to do what tasks you need to do.
The more experience you get, the more accurate you can get to preplan the time it will take you to do certain things.
The faster you can accomplish those things, from practice or other help, hint, tricks, skills, etc, tools, money, support, political leeway or other, the more it can affect your schedule, and, your scheduling time for project management.
Project management is related to control of the system.
If you can't manage your time to design systems or to do work, someone else may have to do it for you.
Laws were planned from analysis which analysis took time for people to be able to manage their time.

Concerning mentors that portion in your book "mastery" . It actually a great deal because many of us are living in the shadow of our mentors. We've not gotten to the stage of departing from them to follow our own path. We are still stuck in their style a, ideas causing us not be noticed. Instead, using their style, ideas and alter it into what best fits for us. That is the place where the world also recognizes us. I really love that story about Gould ( the pianist )

best thing for a meaningful life achieving mastery and enjoying the pleasure of being master and make sure you chose a field that can influence people so you have influence and pass down Your message it's the ultimate goal for me atleast

My inner voice told me long ago that I should have studied liberal arts, philosophy, classical greek and latin. Trouble is unless you have exceptional talent in those fields there isn't much of a future in them. More generally I guess, an education for its own sake is the privilege of wealthy people. So I chose software engineering, in which I've done moderately well, but it was never my passion. I suspect most people's jobs are like that, a means to an end, a way to put food on the table, to pay the mortgage etc. It's the privileged few of exceptional talent, or those wealthy enough not to care, who can follow their passions.

I don't really agree. You could have gone into those fields, only with accepting that you probably wouldn't have a lot of money in it (there's always exception), not poverty but just not a lot of money, like becoming a teacher etc...
Problem is the quality of life versus career. For a lot of artistic oriented people, you unfortunately often have to choose between doing what you love, or making money.
I'll be honest, imo, f*ck money. When we have a roof, we can eat, take care of the children, the rest is not worth sacrificing the only resources we really have, which is time. Using this time to do things for money, is a bad trade imho.
Sure, having both money and the career is nice. But we don't really choose our passions unfortunately

I think that life is an adventure, you have to leave the past behind, use the strategy of adaptation. Moving forward by trial and error, accumulated experience gives you knowledge, and when you adapt that knowledge to changes, then opportunities arise.^^ You are brilliant Robert 😻, and sexy 😉🦁😻😻🥰. Lately I've been attracted to guys with the earth element, they're serious ❤️, And I'm fire 🔥, I'm Aries. 😜

As a piano teacher of decades, you are wrong. No four-year-old is going to wait years for tedium to pay off. It has to be fun from the start, and it can be.
