being born somewhere doesn't automatically make you from that place. Ravelli is an italian surname, his parents are italians who immigrated from Austria to sweden. Don't get me wrong, I have enormous respect for Sweden and he was an outstanding servant for the Swedish national team. But his skills were in his genes and we have produced upwards of 20 keepers on the same level whilst Sweden have never replaced Ravelli. Balotelli is italian born and brought up by italians. He is italian.

Ravelli was still made in sweden, Italian genes aren't better for goalkeeping. Andreas Isaksson is far from bad, our current goalie. not to speak of the next generation coming. Italy is a bigger country (more people live there) so italy is bound to have better keepers. stop being ridiculous.
