I have a friend who since I met him he always had a very specific art style, he never took lessons he just drew whatever he wanted in his own style and he was happy with that. Then I started to learn how to draw a couple of years ago and he would say, you need to find your own style, that's so important, and I would tell him, what style? to draw what? I can barely draw pikachu without it looking like it got run over by a car how can I apply a style to my ugly drawings?. I felt like I had to learn HOW to draw first, learn the fundamentals and THEN worry about style. I'm still learning but my pikachus look like actual pikachus now so that's an improvement :P just need to learn more I feel, perspective is so important and I'm so bad at it, very long road ahead.
It's awesome that your friend has been able to develop their own style that fast! Everyone has their own unique approach to art, and what works for one person may not work for another. Keep on learning and experimenting with different techniques, and don't worry too much about the long road ahead - every step counts and you'll get there without even noticing how your style was formed along the way! 😊
“Your work always brings a smile to my face.”😅
