Im in the process right now of making up my parts list, paying a shop to do this swap for me, i just need to supply the parts. Trying to get just the bare bones parts just too get the car started and driving so i can drive it back home. I can do all the fancy stuff myself later on down the road.

I watched a vid few days ago dude with a yellow and black beat rocket bunny 350z said he spent over 30k on his 2jz swap. He did it himself but everything looked like sht and it sounded like it was about to blowup. Not to mention all the issues he was having with it.
@@Blake-ld7mx knew it. it’s really a mess dude. his wiring harness is a rats nest dude there’s so much stuff he could’ve done right but he tried to be cheap and end up paying more and more. RN he has an upgraded diff when the stock lsd can handle 600hp

One thing I noticed is you didn't mention the transmission. Did you use the stock transmission that came with the motor? I know from doing a some research myself, the transmission won't work with the RX-8 rear end, so I'd have to find another one. Also I noticed you said, you picked up the motor from that depot in Ohio in 2019 for $2550 with the transmission too. I went to their website and they have one in stock and guess how much they want, $6390...what a fucking rip off 😂 so overpriced. Guess I'll have to talk them down, and just get the motor itself, don't need the transmission.

I graduated in December 2018, did an amazing Summer internship in 2019 a the most amazing and beautiful place I have ever been to, and now 2020 came and I had no job and I did not make any money. I should have never went to school and I should have never listened to my parents who told me to focus on school. Here I am stuck with them in a boring state. I should have started a serious youtube account back when monetization started and dropped out.

question, do you need a custom harness? what if you dont get one custom and use the harness the engine comes with?
You can make your own but you need all the pin outs for both cars

I used my original transmission but then upgraded to CD00A. Yea engines are now very expensive.
The prices of even a 1JZ-GTE IS like 4.5k now 😢
