Great work on the car and the RUclips channel. You'll be big in no time. I was thinking about doing this swap on my 07 350 vert. Looking forward to part 2 👍
Dude, saw the subscriber count and assumed it was 109k! Really high quality vid for a new channel, well done. Looking forward to the rest of the series 🙏
It doesn’t have any texture from overspray really so I think it was far enough away or too cold to stick, however my clearcoat started peeling on the door a couple months after this
was thinking about getting from shine auto. Happy to see that someone actually got it and it looks that good !!! Do you remember how long it took for it to ship ?
Right at four months since I placed the order. They were back ordered for weeks, plus had to compensate for production time. Four months was a long wait, but maaaaan was it worth it.
I was clicked on your profile to watch Part 2… And I see you barely posted this 11 days ago. 😢. I am definitely staying tuned in for your build, I can tell this will be clean.
Your input probably saved me a bunch of money and headaches!...You convinced me to considerr a different power source as opposed to a rebuild of this cars 2003 VQ..Thanks!!…NOW!!, where do I look
If I were you, I’d find a 2JZGE VVTI, get 2JZ NON-VVTI Pistons and Rods, and get a turbo kit. I went with a GTE VVTI cylinder head (which was optional and something I desired), but if you’re trying to save money, just stick with the GE VVTI cylinder head and do a turbo kit. Ultimately it’s going to cost more than rebuilding the vq, but you will get more power per dollar, and have a platform that you can continue to upgrade down the line. eBay and marketplace will be your best friends on finding good deals. Import shops will run a higher price but tend to have higher quality parts. If you have more questions, hmu and I’ll try to help out!
Thanks for responding for I am truly interested in this build. It looks as though I have already located an engine with transmission. My intent is to build a true sleeper! The carriage will be a 2003 SEDAN. I’ll be sure to follow closely on the build

If I did have any it was extremely minimal because I haven’t felt any texture, in fact I probably should have just primed the car since my clear coat is peeling now 😆
Great video audio tutorial commentary editing. What state do you live in ? State car is registered in ? Curious for EPA / SMOG requirements. What transmission ? What bell housing ? What clutch to use ? Engine harness ? Thanks in advance Subscribed & liked 👍
Thank you! The car is registered and kept in Kansas, EPA restrictions are next to none here. The transmission will be the original CD009 that comes with the 350z, using the standard bell housing. I’ll be running a Collins Adapter to mate the 2JZ to the trans. (The motor will push the trans back so you’ll need a shorter driveshaft, and a shifter relocation kit will also be needed) Collins sells different stages of clutches with those kits, so I’ll be selecting the clutch that’s closest to my power/torque goals, likely stage 3. I plan to make the harness myself- there’s going to be sensors I need to add in for the VVTi and sensors I need to delete as well, but I do know that they make pre-built harnesses for this swap, so give it a quick search on Google.
None! The perspective makes it look very close but I was about 10ft away- plus I wasn’t worried about it too much. The car needs repainted badly anyways :)
@Jacob Rosproy we in the same situation I buy my exhaust megan racing and when I ready to installed I decided to do the 2j swap so now I going to try to make this work with the 2jz
I googled a lot of it. Plus I’ve been working with cars since I was young. There’s tons of videos, forums, pictures, and people out there that will teach you everything you need to know!
Bro is a natural at this RUclips thing

I will have a part two coming here soon!
I've been looking for a 2J swap on here for a while now. Glad to have found one finally. I'm gonna watch the whole series now.
Glad to have you! My swap series is still not complete but you’ll find out why as you go haha
Bros gonna blow up, natural at this stuff.
👀 Thank you!

🥹 Thanks Will! That means a lot!
your Z looks awesome!! Love the spoiler and the NVIDIA sound, it doesn't sound like a trumpet at all, it's amazing! Looking for your next video!
Thanks! Trumpet noise was negated by the true-dual pipe setup of the HKS.
i watch these just cuz i got an addiction to the ever beloved 350z
I’m glad you’re addicted to the right car 😁
Keep grinding bro content is already A1
Thanks!
The amount of overspray you blasted your z with is insane lol. kudos to you for doing this swap.

Awesome content man, I have a fully built 1jz swapped 350z. Hopefully will make some content soon as well
Nice 👍 Would be very interested in seeing that!
Dude, I just started building my '95 GS300 with the 2JZGE in it as well and I honestly wish I had done what you did with the whole refresh process
It definitely makes a big difference!
ayee im building my 2jz GE for my soarer, cant wait till your Z done
🙏 Thank you!

Hey I did the swap couple years ago but wish I had this at the time lol great videos man
Thank you! Since you’ve already done the swap, what’s something you wish you knew before?
That over spray next to the z was driven me crazy lol
The car is fine! I promise!

No doubt your Z caught some of that overspray. I've done this before with my car behind what I was painting lol....

Good stuff man 🤙🤙
Thanks chief ✌️
Great video!!!! Was wondering if you could tell me how much those rims were they look amazing!
For the specs I had, you’d be looking at around $3k
this makes me so jealous wish my car was as cool as this, debating on making car content on my youtube.
*whispers* “do it”
i wish man, ain't got 2jz moneys lol. @@JacobRosproy
I 👏 need 👏 more 👏
Part two is on its way, rest assured.

the overspray on Z must have been crazy
It was actually very minimal if there was any at all, but the cars getting repainted so it won’t matter in the end 🙂
I wanna give this man a kiss on the forehead
Also cool hat bro
Thanks, dad.
How much over spray landed on your car while painting the bock?
None! The perspective makes it look very close but I was about 10ft away- plus I wasn’t worried about it too much. The car needs repainted badly anyways :)
🔥🔥
LETS GOOOO
your jaw is so chiseled 😍😍😍😍❤❤❤
🤔
Do you going to keep his exhaust with the 2jz or do you going to use diferent exhaust?
Gonna try to keep it 👍
@Jacob Rosproy we in the same situation I buy my exhaust megan racing and when I ready to installed I decided to do the 2j swap so now I going to try to make this work with the 2jz
Just found you but no i dont dream i have a 2004 350z turbo 2Jz (gte) swap lol same silver color
All I'll say is good luck
Does the HKS exhaust have any branding on it? my 350z nismo had it already by the previous owner trying to find out if it’s real or not
I don’t recall any stamps or logos. It did come in a big “HKS” box though. I can double check next time I have it off the ground.
The thumbnail gives of nfs underground vibes
😏 Just the look I was going for
How did you learn to deal with Engine stuff? 😨!
I googled a lot of it. Plus I’ve been working with cars since I was young. There’s tons of videos, forums, pictures, and people out there that will teach you everything you need to know!
hey did u get the extreme low bc coilovers or the normal? because ur fitment in the rear looked lower than mine and i’m maxed out
To be honest I’m not sure what they are. I bought the second hand from an ad listed as “BC racing DS series coilovers 350z”
Where can I buy the front bumper
Shine Auto Project
You need to show more details and less talkin
Stop saying motors! They're called engines! It's not the same thing...
Motors
HAHAHAHAHAHA
Personally I would have gone with a rb26
Agree but still interesting in his job :)
An Rb26 would have been nice, in fact I almost bought an Rb25, but it was hard to beat the price I paid for the 2J. Maybe next time, though 😉
